Bad Weather In Mississippi

That is the kind of weather that I don't like. But, we have it today and the worst part is, we will have that weather on our trip to the Louisiana State today. A very important appointment that can not be postponed. We are planning this for 2 weeks now and no turning back. The cable/internet was cut off at dawn time today.

Oh man! This storm though passing, the lightning and thunder really makes you stop breathing. We were awaken again by the sound of thunder. Luckily, at 7AM, cable/internet went back and so, I was able to talk to my mom in the Philippines thru IM. We talk everyday through Yahoo or MSN IM's since I got here in the US.

Anyway, I was reading to the weather forecast in our place and this is the local detailed report:

• Today: Variable clouds with strong thunderstorms. Storms may produce large hail and strong winds. High 72F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph. Rainfall possibly over one inch.
• Tomorrow: Thunderstorms likely. A few storms may be severe. High near 75F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 80%.

I never seen hail before and I don't wish to encounter one specially when we are on the road. That is truly dangerous specially if it is the size of a fist. But, we will really travel to Louisiana state at 10 AM today. The weather outside is calm, I hope it stays the same. Light rain will be okay with us. Here is the weather forecast to the place where we are heading:

Gardening : The Mess

I already saw an orange snake crawling under those plant. I won't touch that yet. Next week, I will have to trim that Azalea. Dhemz, count the pictures... we are still at the side and the front...not yet on the rear hahaha.

I don't know when this mess started to pile up. Probably months already. When I arrived here, this mess welcomed me with open arms...LOL! So much to do right? I will show you the improvements next time!

Agusan Elementary School : Mural Project

I would like to share with you the pictures of the school I worked for 12 years. These are the front of the school, facing the highway. The focus of the photos are the murals so, it was taken macro shot. These was sent to me by a co teacher.

Agusan Elementary School in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines has launched a year-end project for the school year 2008-2009. It is a Mural Project that shows the painting skills of Agusan Elementary School pupils. The young painters paint the walls of the school concrete fence which are visible from the national highway. You can see these Murals if you are coming from Camiguin Island, Davao via BUDA and Bukidnon.Each panel is sponsored by willing individuals, donated P500 pesos ( $1=46) for the cost of paints and labors. Actually, with that amount and painting job, the artist already donated his skills because that amount alone wont be enough as labors for this wonderful paintings. The painter is a former pupil of Agusan Elementary School. I will tell you more about this talented young painter on my next post.The rooms behind are the Grade-6 Building. Just click on the pictures to zoom in. As you can see, the donors were being acknowledge and I was so lucky to have 3 donors in my paypal account. The school got your money already and was officially received by Mrs. Rose Dullente, over all in-charged of the Mural Project.I already gave the money for 3 spaces for the three of you. These are the area and Mrs. Jena Monteclaro told me, they started the painting yesterday-Saturday August 21,2009 and probably done by now. I will be showing you the outcome of these mural painting and the three bloggers who sponsored it. YES! Your website is on the walls of this school fence in the Philippines. I am so happy to be an instrument of your kindness and generosity. The school, pupils, faculty and the community are so happy to receive your donations. I already shared with you some of my favorite songs and how those remind me of someone. Music really speaks direct to our souls. A relaxation that almost all of us love to listen when we want our own peace. Now, I would like to introduce to you a song sung by a 12 year old from Sunny, California. This girl is so talented because at a young age, she can compose a song. Her name is simply Lena. She had been singing at a young age but her biggest break was when she was 7 years old. She was invited to grace an event of singing the National Anthem to huge crowd. That moment turned the momentum of her singing career. She received so many rave reviews and started to record some popular hits. Just recently, she compose the song titled "Framed" in collaboration with Kosta Lois, a veteran Hollywood music composer and producer. Just check her out in Lena's myspace page and try to listen to her song. I did like it and I love her voice. Honestly, I listen twice and I end up singing along with it. Her voice got the quality and style to become a star that will shine.

Gulf Islands National Seashore

I have to share with you how beautiful this fishing place here. It is free but you need a license if you want to go fishing. Fishing for fun because when they got the fish, they threw it back in the sea again. I could eat it for dinner LOL!These are my family here. My hubby and In-laws (dad, sisters, nephew and niece). They are sunbathing while I am in the shed....LOL! I have enough of tan!My wacky moment hehehe! Hands-Up!

What I love about this picture? Those birds that are flying low. We really intend to go to the beach and feed the birds with our old buns. I have been feeding the birds and they are so many yet, I forgot to take pictures. I was so focus and enjoying what I did. When I realized that I never taken any pictures, I just set my camera on the alley and run to where my husband was. Taken at East beach, Ocean Springs, Mississippi. I love the clouds and the white sand.

Tuna In Burger Bun

We went to the beach today and when we got home, my hubby was tired. So, I went to the kitchen and made a Tuna sandwich but, I use the burger bun. I love lettuce and tomato, my all time favorite vegetables so, I added it in my sandwich. I deep fried 5 pieces of the chicken neck. No skin, I did not include the chicken skin because it is full of fats. When it's done, oh! it taste good. It is crunchy and so tasty. I missed the fried chicken neck in Sunburst Restaurant. If you are a Filipino, you might know this restaurant.
They really specialized fried chicken and the chicken neck is truly oh so good.
This is my hubby's plate..hehehe...smaller than mine. Notice he got only two chicken neck and mine is more....LOL!

Pictures Of The Day

We went to the beach today to relax my eyes from the PC and to unwind, smelling the fresh air of Spring. There are people on the beach enjoying the sunbathing and playing the ball with friends. Some children and teenagers in swimming trunks and bathing suits did go swimming. The beach in Ocean Springs, Mississippi is so nice with white sand and the long beach area is free for anybody. The scenery is really beautiful. You can see the long bridge connecting Ocean Springs to Biloxi. If you click the picture, you can see the bridge. The old bridge was totally damaged by Hurricane Katrina.This is the new bridge that I zoom in. Enjoy the view.

Spam Messages In My Y-IM

Yesterday, Ojiedapogi, a friend in Orlando sent me an IM message from Yahoo saying " Thank You" . So, I replied " For what?" then, he said " For the health information advertisement that you sent me". I am so bewildered. I also received those messages from Kittykat, Cookie, Eleanor, my brother, Marife and other friends in my yahoo list.

I also received a message from my other email add and I am the only one who use that address. Whenever I am offline, my Y IM automatically sign in to my mobile phone. One time, I was talking to my mother, it logged out itself and became online. I was so alarmed! Before I could go online to that email add, it sent the same ad advertisement again to everyone in my list and that includes me.

This is the message that i keep recieving from those name I mentioned above:
Tra lai em niem vui khi duoc gan ben em, tra lai em loi yeu thuong em dem, tra lai em niem tin thang nam qua ta dap xay. Gio day chi la nhung ky niem buon...

There is a website included and I don't want to published it. Have you been recieving this kind of messages? That is only 1, I got other versions.

Then, the other advertisement is this one:

So, yesterday, I changed my password. I am hoping It will stop. Ojie even said that there are messages that are cursing him and saying bad words. He ignored it because he knows me better. Yesterday, he just informed me so I can do some remedy. I don't know what remedy actually but changed my password.

Casino ID

This is my ID in the Palace Casino. Sometimes, my hubby and I went to each Casino in Biloxi area just to unwind. Notice that today is Friday the 13th? My hubby asked me if I want to go to IP Casino tonight. It is Friday the 13th and this day would bring good luck or bad luck. Do I really believe this? Nope. It happened because it happen. It doesn't have to do anything with the number or day. How about you? Do you know some superstition about this day? Daily Activities

My hubby and I always hang out together. When we are at home we do the usual things like watching TV, gardening (too much dry leaves) and playing the cute golf set ( which I am not good at ). Then, I am on the computer as long as I wanted, to keep me entertain. He otherwise hooked on watching TV and a big fan of O'Reilley. In between those activities, we sleep and eat hahaha. It is really different from what I did way back home. But, i did not choose this. I wanted to work but, not this time. The good thing with what I did right now is that, i was able to take a rest from years of working. I work since I step to College. Specifically, I work since 1989 and I just took an on-leave status last year. So, this is a good life right now because NO STRESS at all. My hubby and I laugh about our hanging out together and that made our relationship stronger. We became the best of friends too and we rely on each other. Lately, we enjoyed gambling on the Casino. We actually hopping from one casino to the other. Did you know that there are so many casino&hotel in this city? Everyday, we go out to smell the fresh air of the nearby places and the beaches that is so AWESOME is always a destination.

My husband and I will surely be going to this show. He is looking for ward to find a good deal. I am not sure if he will buy but, definitely for me, I will be going to take pictures. The entrance is only $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for kids. This is the same venue when we went to a Garden and Patio Show last month. I am hoping that this one, I will not be disappointed. I expect to see more display of RV and Boat. I guess Dad might come with us since his boat was washed out by Hurricane Katrina.

Car : Artistic or Weird?

Click the picture and you will see how mess up this car is. It does look good though...LOL! This was taken in Orlando, Florida when we are heading towards Seaworld. I just find this car artistic with all these stuff on it. This car is in the middle of the street and is on mobile. All of the motorists are looking at the car. Well, that include us. Boomtown Casino In Biloxi

This is the Welcome Center of Boomtown Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. Hubby and I went there to see how much is the buffet and ask for their promotion for this month when you play in the casino. We went to the casino today and we palyed a little bit. Did you know that there are so many asian people who works in this casino? Yes, so many and most of them are Vietnamese. They look like a Filipino. One girl started to make a conversation to me thinking that I am a Vietnamese but, I said I can't understand. We both laugh. I did enjoy hopping the casino hotel in this place. The buffet that they have is $11.00 for lunch.
