Hacker Victimized my Friends

I am not done dealing with the damages of the hacker to my email account. The hacker view my saved pictures, read my emails and communicate to my friends in IM's. Bad thing happened was, my two friends believed her as my persona. Even though they have all the gut feeling that it wasn't me, my friends believed her anyway.

WARNING! DO NOT GIVE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER TO ANYBODY!

How many times we heard this WARNING? A millionth time probably but, we just shrugged our shoulders. My friend gave her bank account to the IMPOSTOR-PERSONA through chat in IM. She did call me on that night but, she never mentioned anything about her transactions to the person she talk to on the internet. She knew at that moment i was not at home therefore, I did not use my laptop. But, she still manage to talk to her for more than 4 hours. In less than 12 hours, she gave her bank account number believing that the PERSONA will return the money by Friday. It happened on a Monday. By Tuesday morning, I had three missed calls from my friend, telling me she sent the pin number already. I WAS SO ALARMED!

I called her.Busy.Then, her call came through me. I asked what is it all about? FOUND OUT, she was scammed by the IMPOSTOR! That's Tuesday, it happened so fast. My friend even gave the phone number and email address of the son back home. The hacker called the son and talk to him using a globe phone number. My house is just accross the house of the son, though he had doubt, he never ask the impostor about describing my house or name of my neighbors. Instead he ask common question which the hackers knew about me already.

Well, the money they gave away to the hacker can not be recovered! My friend reported this matter to the NBI in the Philippines and FBI in the US. The bank already investigate this matter too.

FOR those who use internet access, please if you have old email address reset your passwords as necessary. If some of the friends in your list never talk to you for months, delete them. You know the ways and characters of your friends are, if you have doubts, asked personal questions ... or simply just DELETE THEM. Scan your computer for viruse afterwards.
