Patriotism in the USA

When I first arrived in the Land of the Free, I was amazed how the retired people show their love of country by hoisting the flag on their backyard. And I admire that! In fact, my father-in-law has one because he was a retired major in the army. He was so proud of having a US flag in his property and in some way, I am too. What gets me ticked off are incidents like this: In 2009 (South Carolina) A woman put a US flag let on the road to honor a fallen marine, an employee of Bank of America, pulled it off because it's on the front of their property afraid that clients might complain. Crazy absurd statement right? This is America, it's an American Flag, they are Bank of America for goodness sake! While others show Patriotism to the US, others thought it's awkward! They should need a refresher course about US Patriotism.
