Amazing Places That I Have Been

I love to read history books and fascinating stories of the people, the society, and their way of life in the past. Those are reasons why I took Education majoring in Social Studies in the university. It helps me understand the behavior of people and out of that; I believe that through education people can come out from poverty.

I traveled half way around the globe already and I have seen beautiful places, friendly people, amazing cultures and great way of life. I am not a jet setter if that's what you think. From the Philippines, I've been to Japan, Bahamas and a dozen states in the USA. Check out these interesting facts: Philippines is known as the Pearl of the Orient Seas; Bahamas is the Sailing Capital of the World; Japan is known as the Land of the Rising Sun; and the USA is the Land of the Milk and Honey.
I never know that the meaning of Kuwait is “fortress built near water”. In my college days, my history and geography classes are focused on studying places, people, and phenomena according to the Era and the legends. It was pretty amazing how our world evolved from per-historic times up to this generation of technology and innovation.

While some courageous Overseas Filipino Workers took kuwait airways ticket to work in the oil industry, I choose the path to migrate in the USA and hopefully land a career in the field of Education. I am completely grateful for the opportunity that the United States of America, my home has granted for me. From the amazing stories shared by my professors in the classroom and finally visited the places are to me the most amazing adventure that I have accomplished in life.

That was an interesting major you took. Yes studying ancient civilizations and the peoples up until current times is interesting-I took a couple of courses in Anthropology also and always enjoyed them!

I would love to travel more, though only in the states. I will have to learn about other countries from people like you who travel to them. Flying that far terrifies me.

Wow! you had been to so many places. I don't like to travel anywhere but Philippines. If I ever got a chance to go on vacation, always Philippines. I went to Canada almost 3 years ago, but that's about it :)
