Ritchie Valens: La Bamba

Have you seen the movie La Bamba? Whenever I saw a microphone such as the MXL, it always reminds me of  the movie about Ritchie Valens. The poster of the movie shows him singing using a big microphone.  Another poster shows him holding a guitar. If in case you didn't know him, he was a rock n roll pioneer and a famous singer in the late 50's. Donna and La Bamba are two of his popular songs. He died in a plane crash at the age of 23. He could have been 72 years old yesterday.

That classic movie is one of my favorites because the story is not only musical but, a love story as well. It is an inspiring movie about dreams and love of family too. If you haven't seen it, I recommend that you should watch the movie La Bamba starring Lou Diamond Phillips.

I really think he was way to young when he passed. He helped change the music world.

I also think of him when I see those mics.

Thank's for the info because I really had no idea who he was. Me too, whenever I see big microphones, it reminds me of the 60's, 70's performers.
