I have no time to go to the gym and though my neighborhood is safe for jogging, I just can't find time to "squeeze in" this activity in a daily manner. So, I decided to buy this treadmill. I have been using this for more than a month now and I enjoyed it. Though it is huge, it is easy to store in one corner of the room. As for me, I store it in the Florida room. It has 6 personal trainer workouts, has 1-10 mph speed control, and with heart rate monitor which is easy to use using the thumb sensor. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at magic Kingdom

If you are planning to visit Disney World and Magic Kingdom is one of your theme park destination then, check this attraction: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Frontierland.I took these pictures while I was on board on the Liberty Square River Boat. You can see so many things from it including this attraction. It was afternoon and the sun was gleaming brightly on us so; some of my shots are not good. I am only using BB camera phone and digital cam.I don't take these type of rides because I feel dizzy after the ride and might ruin my day so, i won't dare. I love watching people scream from the top of their lungs though.Are you adrenalin freak? This attraction is good for you! You should get a fast pass and come back on your scheduled time because the long lines here is heavy.You don't want to waste your precious time waiting on the long line right? Fast Pass is an alternative to all the rides especially this one.We will be going there today, did you know that? Around 4PM later, we will visit magic Kingdom and just go to Adventureland. Just one area and we are good to go. We might check out the Jungle Cruise again and Tinker Bell's magical Nook, sounds good?Come back next time and I will definitely post the pictures in any of my blogs, See yah!

Wearing the Green Shirt on Saint Patrick's Parade

I got this FUNNY IRISH T-SHIRT on the mail yesterday and my husband tried to put it on and did this wacky pose. Oh he just loves it! His family from the mother's side came from an Irish descent. He grew up watching the Saint Patrick's Parade in his hometown in Mississippi. I was able to see it myself and I had a blast!The parade was like the Mardi Gras where the Krewe throws nice beads but, most of them are colored green. I had shamrock beads collection and some plastic mugs with ad prints of the establishments in the town. All of us (family) would watch the Saint Patrick's Parade wearing green t-shirt like this one.Living in Mississippi was different because gatherings are always fun with lots of food and stories to share. I wish that my husband and I can go to Mississippi and watch the Saint Patrick's Parade this year. It would be real fun!

Clear Blue Water at Nassau Bahamas

Last October, we took the 4-day cruising to Bahamas hopping three islands of Freeport, Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau. While at Nassau, we took the time wandering inside the ATLANTIS luxury hotel. On our way back to the Port, we took the boat ride for $3/person. All the tourists who were with us agreed that this place is blessed with clean and blue water. The gigantic building on the left is the Atlantis and below the bridge is a small wharf for the boat ride heading back to the Port. I took this picture from the 5th deck on Norwegian Cruise Ship. This is the closer look below the bridge.This is the view of the Atlantis Marina as we stroll the area at the same time going to the boat ride back to the cruise terminal. On the middle, you see the boat unloading the passengers. We came from that area and it is just a walking distance to the cruise ships. The boat ride was truly fantastic and the view from everywhere was amazingly beautiful. Nassau Bahamas is a beautiful place to visit. You should go there and I am sure, you will be in great awe!

The Gorgeous View from Our Room at the Isle of Biloxi

September was a busy month for us and I wasn't able to share some of the photos because the following months we went cruising to Bahamas then, back to Alabama by December. I only got back into blogging by January, lo and behold, it's now February! Wheww... and we will be back to Mississippi...again! Anyway, this is the view from our hotel room at the ISLE of Biloxi.We have a balcony and we truly enjoyed the view because the land mass across is the city of Ocean Springs. We lived there for 18 months and every day, I saw the Isle Hotel and Casino stood gallantly across the waters.
We like our room because the view of the bay and the Gulf was breathtaking especially at sunrise. This is the Bay Bridge that connects the cities of Biloxi and Ocean Springs along the highway 90.
On this day, I woke up early to catch the glimpse of sunrise. It was foggy and a little chilly but, it was a gorgeous day.
This is the room and the area is a good size with free WiFi.
I always like to have twin beds because I work late at night and I can have all the space I needed without waking up my husband. The picture above is taken from the Bay Bridge as we drove towards the huge building of the Isle Hotel and Casino.This month we will be coming back to Mississippi and stay at the Isle for the Mardi Gras celebration at the Gulf Coast. Ocean Springs is a charming city in Mississippi, was the hometown of the late Walter Inglis Anderson, a nationally renowned painter and muralist. This place hosts to several festivals and that includes the Peter Anderson Festival.These pictures were taken during the Peter Anderson Festival in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. This festival features the local artists and display their artwork, special unique decor, wood carvings and more.The prices of the products are affordable with world class quality.This town is full of charm and happy people. The community is very supportive to every events and festivals.Here is an artwork area that I love in fact, hubby bought wood carvings of birds. People who came to this festival did not only window shop but, they came here to buy the art work. I took a video but, can't find it in my folder. It would be nice to watch video online right? My Favorite Floats During the Fresh from Florida Parade

On December 31,2011, my husband and I were at Downtown watching the Fresh from Florida Parade formerly known as Orlando Citrus Parade. This parade is done annually and served as the kick-off of the College Football Bowl events which are the Champs Sports Bowl and the Capital One Bowl.These pictures were taken nearby Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando. There were only few well decorated floats on this parade but, I am telling you, these are the nicest and beautiful ones.These are real fresh oranges, tangerines and citrus which are produce from Florida.The float below is interesting but, I thought it would look more nicer if they covered the boat with oranges. All good though.I hope that the 2012 Fresh from Florida Parade will be more exciting, fun and would truly amazed the Floridians as well as the guests. Well, if there is a Fresh from Florida Parade by 2012, it would mean the Mayan "12-21-2012" is a hoax Doomsday prediction, right?

As a Floridian, Disney gave us a special annual price to get into Disney World Theme Parks. This pass is very convenient because we can get in anytime we want, any parks we like, and any day we love to visit. With our pass, we selected weekdays and avoid the weekend crowd. When my husband worked at the airport, Disney gave them a FREE annual hospitality pass but, since both of us were working at that time, we seldom used it. Anyway, last week was our fourth visit this month and we intend to just go in one park and in one area. This time, we explore Tomorrow Land at Magic Kingdom. If you say, Disney Land, that's in California while Disney World is in Florida. We went to Magic Kingdom at Disney World and we decided to explore only one area which is Tomorrow land. It is located on the right side of Main Street USA. Here is the entrance of Tomorrow land and there are 8 attractions that you and your family can enjoy in this area. The attractions are: Monsters, Inc Laugh Floor, Stitch's Great Escape, Buzz Light year's Space Ranger Spin, Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover, Astro Orbiter, Space Mountain and Tomorrow Speedway. My personal favorite is the Speedway, Transit Authority and Space Mountain. Go check it out. The picture above is the Main Street USA and the huge building ahead is the Cinderella Castle. On the right is the Tomorrowland. People like to stay on this street to watch the fireworks at night and see the parades too. If you are standing on the Cinderella Castle forecourt along the Main Street USA, the picture above is what you will gonna see. The buildings are Casey's Corner, Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, The Plaza Restaurant, and Main Street Bakery. The entrance of Tomorrowland, is in the left side of where I was.

Horseback Riding Activities

Have you seen the movie "War Horse"? I am curious about the movie especially when I read this tag line: Separated by war, tested by battle and bound by friendship. I wanted to see the movie so; I ordered a DVD. This is the story of Albert and his amazing and steadfast horse Joey, whose faithful bond cannot be shaken by the test of time. Joey is sold to the cavalry and sent off to the most horrifying aspects of WW I. I do not like war movies but, since War Horse is adapted from a children's' novel, this is a good movie to see. Written by an excellent children's' literature author, Michael Morpurgo, no doubt that this movie is worth watching for.

Last year, I treat my nephews to a horse museum. We enjoyed taking pictures while they pet the horses and as we did the horseback riding activities in the nearby lot. It was a fun day. We had a comfortable ride but, I am not sure if we were sitting on a Pessoa saddles, though it looks like it.

An Efficiency House

When we saw this efficiency room listed as foreclosure, we immediately bid to buy it. It is very small but, for a single individual who has nothing, this place is a good property to rent. That is the main reason why we wanted to buy this property. We have a sure renter and besides, this property is very affordable. After waiting for almost two months, we bought this property and in a week, we have a renter. This is a good rental income property.We have extra kitchen appliances at home so, we decided to bring it all here and the renter was happy. This place is small but, since she does not have big appliances so; she was contented with the space. I do not know what she does either spreadbetting or not, if she can pay good, that's all that matters. This is an efficiency house with a good size kitchen and a nice bathroom with bath tub. It has a screened porch and the parking space is very convenient, right outside the property.Hubby and I loves this property because it is easy to maintain.
There is an attic that the renter can use for extra storage. Most of the people who owns this type of property used it for vacation house especially when they visit Disney World. Anyway, if you find an efficiency property with a good price, buy it. Here in Orlando, you can rent a place like this for $450-$550. Make sure that the HOA fee is low, and the property is in a good location.

Natural House Products

Two days ago, I got these products from the mail and since I was doing some "clean-up" mood this week, I gave these Natural House products an application test. I started with Flushy which is a toilet bowl cleaner but, this product is also good to use for drain and septic treatment. When I tossed the flushy pack in the toilet bowl, in few seconds I noticed the blue granules started to react in the water as it formed a foamy action. I leave it for a minute then, started to brushed the thin circular stain which I think was a calcium deposit. When I flushed the water, there was a big difference because the stain was fading. The toilet bowl is a lot cleaner like a sparkling clean so; I am confident that this product is good. Considering that this is my first usage, I believe that Flushy really cleans. I still have 3 packets left so; I have no doubt about it

The second product that I used was the Sinky. Oh, I just like what I saw when I tossed the pro biotic packet into the disposal. I saw the foamy reaction because there was the white granules scattered near the opening of the disposal. This product supposed to scrub and digest the odors inside the disposal. I know it works alright because I do not smell any bad odors coming from our disposal.

The last product of Natural House that I used was the Trashy. Of course, you know what it is for and this product is Eco-friendly, non-toxic, biodegradable and phosphate free. Though we have disposal, there are times that we throw food craps in the trash can. Having Trashy would help eliminate the bad odors from our trash can.

At Panera Bread and Our Random Activities For the Day

Here I am again, posting pictures of food. Panera Bread is my favorite place to hang out for one good reason, the food is great. Their bread and pastries are delicious. "Swak sa panlasang pinoy" LOL. Aside from that, this place has Wi-fi and their staffs are friendly. Hubby and I went to Panera Bread today after we pick-up some clothes given by our friend. They wanted to donate some clothing's to the flood victims of Cagayan de Oro (re: Storm Washi). We got three bags of assorted clothing's and this will be given specifically to Baranggay Consolacion.Anyway, hubby and I decided to drive down to Panera Bread at the Millenia Mall. We ordered from the Pick-Two menu and have these bakery foodies for take out. Our friend has tickets for NBA games which contain coupons. He gave us three coupons for pick-two choices and that's worth $6.99/order, not bad huh? We still have two more coupons to use for our next visit.From Panera Bread, we went to finish our banking chores then, we proceed to the airport to see the Air Force One airplane. President Obama visited Orlando today and gave his speech at Magic Kingdom at Disney World. We know that the Air Force One was parked at the back of the airport of MCPO so, we went there.I do not have a good picture of the Air Force One but, it's no big deal. We were there to see the event and it was fun observing the traffic and the people who are trying to get a glimpse of President Obama.

I am so tired of walking to the mailbox, only to return with a handful of bills. They never seem to end! It has almost become trivial that the mail contains anything but junk or bills. Letters and postcards have become a thing of the past. The only person that I ever even get letters from anymore is my 86-year old grandmother. I even noticed this holiday season that we received fewer Christmas cards than we did last year. In an attempt to make the bills appear less frequently, my husband and I have tried bundling as many services as possible. We checked out wildblue special bundles for all of our communication needs. My hope is that between combining many of our home services and switching to online bill pay for as many of our monthly bills as possible, the trip to the mailbox won’t be quite so painful. When we went to Disney World, stanchions are everywhere. Most of them are heavy duty as shown in the picture below. I vividly remember when we went to see Finding Nemo at Animal Kingdom, there was a long winding line of excited crowd. It came to a point that children behind us were restless and they were running around. I was relieved to see the Disney staff put the velvet rope behind me to cut the line. Then, they tried to move the next set of people a bit distant from us. We later found out that there were two shows left for that afternoon and they are trying to inform those at the end of the line that they cannot accommodate everyone.

Road Trips Toward Mobile Alabama

Our last road trip was last month, December 16, I can't forget that date. We were traveling towards Alabama while I called my mom in the Philippines. The tropical storm Washi hit Northern Mindanao and devastated my hometown, Cagayan de Oro City. It's been almost a month now but, so many pictures that I took from our road trips were kept in my files. It's high time to share it now. The men and women in uniform are affected greatly by this rejection.

I am not a health conscious person. I eat what I want. I do not count the calories on the box when I do my grocery. I have no vices and I believe that I am a very healthy person. With this statement, I also know that I am not immune to diseases. I am aware that I lack some of the daily dietary count that is needed for my body. That is why; I have a vitamin as well as natural dietary & nutritional health supplements too. All of us need to improve our immune system that is why we need to take nutritional supplements.

Anyway, I hope we can maintain the dietary count that is needed to live a healthy life. When we are healthy, it reflects our disposition of life, and it is the greatest gift of life. What else do we need? It is like a domino effect and being healthy means a happy life.

I just do not know for now if I can add my medicine expenses in my 1099 form. What do you think?

I was losing hope since Broncos score maintained at 20 for most of the time plus another 3pts while Pittsburgh Steelers able to raised their score from 6 to 20. They tied it to Broncos at the end of the 4th quarter with 23. Tossing the coin and Broncos had the ball means a lot for the game. Tim Tebows perfect passing of the ball to Demaryius Thomas made the game jaw-dropping, exhilarating, and adrenalin pumping. The Broncos and Tim Tebow fans were elated out from their seats! Well, Congratulations to BRONCOS! Tim Tebow, your performance was great! Stay humble and do what you can do! To Demarius Thomas, you are the man for the win! That was an awesome 80 yards run! Of course, the whole team of Broncos, you did a great job for doing the defense and guarded your position. Belated Happy three kings everyone! The days go by so quickly isn't it? How was your first week of January? I hope it was exciting, fun and fruitful. Speaking of fruits, I need volunteers to eat these all, LOL! I am on a fruit diet lately because I do not want to throw these fruits away. December 16 is always a memorable date for Filipinos because it is the start of "Simbang Gabi" or Midnight Masses which for nine consecutive days, Filipinos eager to attend believing to gain indulgence. It is always a happy date to note but, December 16, 2011 marked a catastrophic event in the history of Cagayan de Oro City, my beloved hometown. Bagyong Sendong or Tropical Storm Washi hit Northern Mindanao and caused widespread flash floods. At 10PM, the raging flood of mud and water rises as far as 31 feet in seconds. Caught off-guard, the Cagayanons living along the river banks took refuge on their roof , the trees and higher buildings. Those who woke up too late drowned inside their bungalow-styled houses. The fatality is 1, 300, more than a thousand missing and displacing 20,000 people. For the first time, affected Baranggays only experienced one Simbang Gabi. For the last few days, Orlando acknowledged the boom of visitors coming form other states. They are actually here to watch the Capital One Game between Nebraska and South Carolina. Disney had to close some of their parks for three hours because of too many people. Anyway, right here, we are surrounded with people from other states. I heard them talking. This is the scenario before the parade. The parade will end further that road.The opening of the parade....

Are you excited for the New Year? I bet you are busy organizing a family party to welcome the year of the dragon, right? Well here in Orlando, most people are busy volunteering to create beautiful citrus floats for the Orlando Citrus Parade which will be held on December 31, 2011. The map below is the route based from cfnews13.Take note of the following roads which will be closed:

Orange Ave. from Colonial Drive to Anderson St.
Anderson St. from Orange Ave. To Rosalind Ave.
Robinson St. from Summerlin Ave. to Rosalind Ave.
Amelia St. from Magnolia St. to Garland Ave.
Livingston St. from State Lane to Magnolia St.

According to the news, there will be detour signs and it will be posted to guide the motorists. There will be a busy traffic in getting off of State Road 408 into downtown Orlando as the Rosalind Avenue exit ramp will be closed, detour to Mills Avenue. The I-4 exits to downtown Orlando will also be busy so; delays on the interstate is expected.

The Orlando Citrus Parade will start at 11:00 A.M. Parking space is hard to find if you go there late so; come early to find a good spot. The last time, we park was near the city hall so; we had to walk all the way to Lake Eola. Hubby and I are excited for tomorrow's event. We will see you all tomorrow. Have fun Floridians!

The Week Before Christmas

We were supposed to visit New York for Christmas but, the schedule changed when the catastrophe struck Cagayan de Oro, my home city in the Philippines. It happened on Dec.16, 2011 when people were asleep and raging flood waters struck the houses and everything on it's path. It is the worst calamity in six decades and the incident left thousands of families homeless. I mourn with our friends who lost their daughters, sons, uncles, parents, grandchildren and nieces. It was a week before Christmas and the tragedy happened where Christmas trees with full of gifts are all set for the celebration.

Basically, most of the residents in my city Volunteer and assists the needs of the flood victims. People like us who lives halfway around the globe are busy packing relief goods to send to the people of CDO. We also send cash donations to various organizations and most of all sent directly to the family who are victims. I for one forgets Christmas Eve but, the spirit of gift giving is very much alive. We attended the mass on Christmas Eve and gave the kayak paddles to our friend who is a sports minded but, we refuse to attend the party. We went home and I talk to my family and relatives who are flood victims who are staying with my mom in CDO. My Christmas is complete and happy because they are all safe. My thoughts are for my friends who suffered a tremendous loss of this tragic event caused by Storm Washi (Bagyong Sendong). May God bless their hearts.

I hope this incident will never happen again. The ABS-CBN network together with Kris Aquino (& the group) visited Cagayan de Oro City to provide Relief Operation in Consolacion and Balulang areas. The result of the visit is negative and it created a big discussion in Facebook groups because the victims were not treated accordingly. Below is an opinion posted in Facebook Wall:
Ang sa akin lang po, sana naman ibinahagi ang tulong para sa mga biktima ng tama. The flood victims were cold, hungry and thirsty for water. They waited for hours but, hindi nabigyan lahat kasi umalis na kayo pagkatapos ng video footage. Feeling nang mga biktima ginawa silang props para may maibalita kayo. Tama ba yun na umalis kayo at hindi nyo naibigay ang tulong na intended for them? Okay lang sana kung naubusan kayo, kaso marami pa pero di ninyo ibinigay. Sana hindi nyo nalang ipinakita sa kanila kasi torture yan eh. Here's another observation from a volunteer:

"last dec. 19 @ 2pm more or less my son with other abs cbn volunteers reported for duty.. when the truck abs cbn streamer was full of relief goods already, the team was instructed to proceed to Balulang evac. center to download and be ready for distribution the goods in the truck. while on their way to balulang, a call from the base instructed them to stop and wait for kris aquino and party. so the team waited for for these people. @ 6pm, a call from the base advised them to proceed instead to Brgy. Consolacion since Kris and party was there already. Imagine 3 hrs naghulat mga volunteers only to be instructed to go to Consolacion instead. Nag yawyaw na volunteers ngano ing ana pamaagi ( and my son even said in a loud manner " kang Kris ba diay ning mga relief goods? but the wala choice man but to heed to the instructions given...unsay pagtuo nila sa mga volunteers mga robot nga bahalag abtan midnight hulat2x ok lang di na kailangan foods to sustain them from doing the tasks? again, the team proceeded to Consolacion. sobra kaayo jud ka heavy ang traffic so hinay jud ang dagan sa truck....dawbe kay ang mga tao didto gutom na jud kaayo kay halos man pangbirahon na ang mga sinako relief goods but no instructions given yet if i distribute ang goods. ila na lang gi explainan volunteers ra sila and have to wait for further instructions..ga singgit na sila" unsa man na bay inyo ra na paibog. para unsa ra man na nga gidala dala dili ihatag?"gutom na daw sila kaayo. kinsa sad kaha wala nagutom sa nahitabo. hadlok na kaayo ang volunteers basin musaka na ang mga tao then sakwaton mga sinako nga goods.wala sad sila gipakuyugan ug volunteer-soldier or police for security reasons unta.. after a while, there came vans in convoy. Kris and party naman diay muagi with arrogant PSG men shouting "tabi kayo..saan ba mga pulis dito. sus nakurat tawon ang team nga mulakaway naman diay kris and party why pa man paadto pa sila didto? minutes after, a call from the base instructed them to leave Consolacion and head for Balulang again. OMG, ang relief goods gipalaway lang jud diay...upon reaching Balulang around 9pm more or less gisunodsunud jud tawon ang truck sa mga victims..wala lang gihapon instruction if i download na relief goods sa evac center. gihikap na pud sa mga evacuees ang sako2xng goods..they are shouting na nga manghatag na kay gutom na kaayo. wa man jud sila instruction as in pa lamo2x na lang sila di mamansin. kay nakita man lagi nila ang atreamer abs cbn relief ops. ug wala man sila balebaleha..nisinggit sila "aha naman inyong presidente?" Among Binay gkan na dinhi...nadawat nasad dayon sila call from the base instructing them to go back to base..grabe ila kauoy sa mga tao nga grabe pa trauma gidaladala then wla pa tagda ila pangamuyo tagaan sila. wal choice ang team but to go back to base but ni sekreto sila open sako then secretly hand in goods sa malabyan nila pero ila sad sinyasan "psst ayaw saba sa uban". hadlok man sila basin kalit mangdasuk mga tao..maapsan baya sila kay traffic pud hinay dagan sa truck.. mao na ila ordeal murag mas na trauma sila sa mga actuations sa network kay kita nila mismo ang mga situations sa mga areas affected nga ila naadtuan unya nag location-hopping lang man diay sila. ako na siya pa stop volunteer sa network and instead get involved thru NGO's or schools or any parish."

There Is Hope Cagayan de Oro City

December 16, 2011 is the day Tropical Storm Sendong hit the Philippines. For almost a week, I can't console myself to do other things but, stay on FB for updates, doing some charity work and watch the videos in YouTube. Most of us probably sent our help but we know it is not enough. The impact of this calamity is huge because we mourn with them for the loss of their children, husband, father, mother, cousin and neighbors. It is heartbreaking to see the coastal area of my beloved city covered with mud, deformed and houses washed away from the raging flood waters. Since Day 1, my family was doing the best we can to make our 10 relatives feel at home to ease a little bit of their traumatic experiences. They live with my mom in a safe place in CDO. All of us do not worry of what's tomorrow may bring. What we worry right now is the other families that we know who have no place to go but stay in Evacuation Areas. Most of the victims who survived were now homeless. But, we can only do so much. For a start, I give up most of my clothes in the closet to distribute to some of the family victims. My relatives are victims but, they decided to help by bringing gallons of drinking waters to their neighborhood. Most of the people that I know are doing the same thing which is really heartwarming.But, it is very depressing to see photos like these knowing that there were houses stood there before and now, it's gone. As of today, the death toll in Cagayan de Oro alone reaches a thousand and rising because there are hundreds of people who are missing.We mourn today but, with the help you extend, we have high hopes that CDO will restore its beauty. Thank you for all your help and for responding to our desperate call. From the bottom of the hearts of the Cagayanons, SALAMAT JUD SA TANAN NGA MITABANG.

It's 18 days before Christmas and I am excited! How are you everyone? The weather here in Orlando is NICE and I love it! How about you? Have you done your shopping yet? You better check your list now or else, you will have a panick buying on Christmas Eve, LOL! Anyway, yesterday we travelled 50 miles from Orlando. We went to Melbourne to visit the listing company of the townhouse that we are interested. Along the way, we saw this restaurant:We had lunch at UNO Chicago Grill which is located in 8260 North Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL 32940. Our server did a wonderful job and the manager tried to check on us if we enjoyed our meal. Of course we did! This restaurant is cozy and the ambiance is really great!We love the food and though I only ordered two plates of appetizers, it fills me up bigtime! I ordered Stuffed Mushrooms with portabello, shiitake, goat and romano cheeses. The appetizer that I enjoyed the most is the sauteed shrimp with white beans and breadsticks.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant and this location too.

Here's some of the pictures that I took while we were on board the Norwegian Sky Cruiseship. I just can't put down my camera because the view from the ship was truly beautiful. This is Nassau, Bahamas, the last island destination of our 4-days cruise to Bahamas. That is Atlantis, the big building shown in these pictures. The cruise terminal is very clean and the water is deep blue, no trash at all.We visited the Atlantis in the morning and came back to the ship at 3PM. Transportation access is only $4/person which is very affordable.
From the Atlantis, hubby and I decided to take the ferry and it's only $3/person. The ride was enjoyable and interesting. The water is really blue and clean. No sign of crude and trash in the water.I love this place. If I am rich, I will buy me a property here and stay half of the year just relaxing.Atlantis, the Paradise Island in Bahamas is a huge place complete with all the amenities one would ever wish for a great vacation. It is an expensive place too in fact, for Holiday dates, the cheapest room is $319/day. Whewww!

We have two realtors working with us now. Both in two different locations. One realtor covers Brevard county and we already look at houses in Palm Bay area. It is about 75 m from Orlando. For two months, we had no luck. I told my husband that we will try a townhouse so that we will not have to do anything else. Look at the wide road and the landscaping of this place. Isn't it beautiful? We went to this location yesterday and I love the place. It is newly constructed (2007), poured concrete and the space is a good size. The home owners fee is very affordable and the neighborhood is very quiet. It is nearby the area of NASA facilities.This is the first townhouse that we bid and I am hoping that they will accept our offer. There is a short sale though so, it may take a long time to process. But, we are okay with that because we are not in a hurry to move. I already pack some of our things and I did not bother to unpack it. Anyway, this is an ideal neighborhood to live and I like it because it is nearby Orlando.

It was already night time when we arrived in Mexico area. Well, we actually went inside Epcot at 4PM so; it was almost sunset when we started to view the World Showcase area. Mexico is the first place that you will see which is located on the left side of the theme park. The decors, marketplace and design of the building was built like you are in the Mexico. In fact, the atmosphere changes abruptly. It was funny and awkward at the same time to see Donald Duck in Mexican attire and speaks Spanish.

The Beach Down Cocoa

When we went down south towards Miami, we stopped in one of the beaches along the high way. There was a public area where people can access the beach for free. Hubby and I bought a Chinese food for lunch and we had a picnic on the beach. The waves are moving like crazy and the sea was rough that day.There were three young men doing the surfing up ahead. These waves are dangerous in fact, there were warning signs along the entrance to avoid the water for strong currents and rip tides.There were few people on the beach having a sun tan and one couple just walk down the shore. From time to time, there were motorists stopping by to take pictures of the big waves.
The shorelines were a mess pushing these sea plants off towards the shore. There was no storm but the sea was rough. I cannot imagine how devastating it would be if a hurricane hits this place.

If the water is calm, this beach is a nice place to hang out.

October 2011- This month is special ( sort of ) because my husband and I had our first cruising experience through Norwegian Sky. It was the best according to some of the acquaintances that we have had while on board the Freestyle Cruise. When I was checking the cruising suggestion sent by a company through email, I was tempted with the last minute booking.I saw there were really affordable prices on the last minute cruising. It was actually half of the regular price so, since the four of us had free time to go, we book it. We are all newbies in cruising to Bahamas that is why, we love it. The picture above was taken inside their elegant STARDUST THEATER located at Decks 6 and 7 in the Aft section.
The Hallway heading to the Mandara Spa and Salon at Deck 11 in Fwd Section of the Norwegian Sky. We were just exploring to the different decks to familiarize where to go for special events that day. This way, we had the terrific adventure to get a feel for the ship. See the crowd below? We went to Stardust for the show called: On Broadway, the Sky Production Show. It was a grand night and spectacular presentation!
Freestyle Cruising is an easy, carefree cruise experience with top-notch crew members and most of them came from the Philippines. I would say 90 percent are Filipinos in fact, the Cruise Director Richard Matic is a Filipino. He is the brain behind all the entertainment and activities on the ship.The picture below is the hallway heading to Stardust Theater. We did rock the night away during the first day! The show in Stardust was spectacular because of the sounds and music from soul and folk to rock n' roll. The pictures and videos were not permitted during the show though.After the show, we went to Dazzle's Nightclub at Deck 6, mid section to enjoy the show called Sing it, If you know it. We had fun with this crazy game where we had to guess the song and again, the band came from the Philippines too. Oh, they were awesome!

House Hunting

We went to see at least five home properties at Cocoa Beach today. The property that we like is the house that I call as a cottage house because the neighborhood is great and the backyard is huge. When my husband tried to check more information of the property, he found out that it was a HUD home and it needs some TLC. Hubby and I decided that we will keep on looking for more properties. The house that we like has more problems than what we saw from the naked eye. The other houses that we viewed today were all in a good neighborhood but, all were not ready to move in. We really do not like the trouble to do some fixes especially some major ones. It is just depressing to note that the sellers did not do extra effort to make the property sellable to the buyers. We were a property seller last year and we paint, did minor fixes, and maintain the landscape. Our property was sold and the buyer was happy. Oh well, we will just find the property that we want. We love our condo property but, it would be good to live in a house with our own backyard, right?

Freeport Grand Bahama

First morning on the cruise - We arrived at Freeport Harbor Grand Bahama. The sun refused to shine but, at 7AM on October 18, this is the view that welcome us in the morning.I woke up my husband before 7AM because the sunrise was supposed to be 7:18 but, it barely come out from the clouds as you can see from the picture below. We had breakfast and by 8AM, we head down to the gangway and proceed to the exit of the port.Most of the guests took an organized shore excursion so; they had to check their tickets for the meeting time. As for us, we want to explore the International Bazaar and Port Lucaya Marketplace and Marina. The fair is only $10 per person for the whole trip. It was a long ride of rural area and undeveloped places. There is nothing special really. Hubby and I decided to check in the Treasure Bay Casino at the Marina area and later on, we explore the International Marketplace where I bought my souvenir Freeport sports cap. Well, hubby won a bit when he used the slot machines. There is no cash out machine here so; you had to change it to their cashier.
The rain poured so hard for maybe 10 minutes and it ceased! We return back to the cruise ship at 1PM because the weather was not that good. We stayed indoors and roaming to the Lucaya area and the Marina. It was a nice place and laid back but, there is nothing special here. The shoreline is just like the coastal view of Florida.

When we head back, we took some pictures of the Freeport Port. The "I was there picture" LOL but, the cruise photographer had their $199 picture package which is unlimited. Most of the cruisers did not take advantage of the offer. It's way too high, I guess.

We will be attending a Wedding in December and we will be traveling to Alabama. As early as today, we book our hotel room in the resort where the Wedding Reception will be held. My husband was also excited and been thinking about it so; he started sorting out guys shoes. He wanted to wear formal but comfortable shoes on that day because he wanted to enjoy the whole celebration. His foot easily gets sore especially with long hours of standing. He went to the walk-in closet and checks the shoe boxes at the top of the shelves. It took him few minutes to pick finally which pair to wear. Now, all he has to do is to find the formal attire that matches the classy shoes. My husband has the collection of shoes for formal events as well as sports shoes. He does not wear slippers because he is not used to wearing these type of footwear. Anyway, he realized that some of his collections were out-of-style in fact; he said he found pair of shoes that he will wear for the Halloween party. He will not let me see it yet. Oh well, he has this oozing excitement when he says it!

When my cousin bought her red trendy plus size clothing, she was excited! Her best friend got married last Sunday and she attended the wedding. She's one of the usherettes. She wore the dress and she looks confident and lovely on her dress. She is an extra-ordinary woman and I am proud that she is my cousin. In the family, she has the beauty and the brain. We have been planning to go cruising to Bahamas but, it was always postponed. Just two weeks ago, when I checked the NCL site, I showed him the itinerary and he loves it. His daughter and her boyfriend loves the route too so; without any further discussion, we book it. In two days time, we boarded the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL).It was gloomy and as you can see, the floors were wet. It was drizzling whole day but, it was not that cold. In fact, it was relaxing to stay outdoors than staying inside the rooms. We enjoyed roaming the ship and familiarized the facilities of Norwegian Sky. The picture above is poolside area located on the 11th Deck. It has 4 Jacuzzis.While waiting for the ship to sail away to Bahamas, everyone goes to the Garden Restaurant which is located on the 11th Deck. When we boarded the ship, we were immediately guided to the Garden Buffet on the Aft section of the ship. Oh yeah! The first hour was eating time while the crew prepares the rooms of the guests.
We boarded at 1PM and the ship was scheduled to leave Miami Port at 5PM. The activities started rolling in such as wine tasting and of course, the crew will really invite the guests to buy something. Guests like us started to wander the amenities while waiting for our rooms. We left our baggage at the baggage receiving area while we proceed to the Garden Buffet for lunch.As you can see, people started to wander the ship and take pictures and started making friends. I found two friends as a matter of fact and it was funny! I communicate through sign language because they can't speak English. They are Hispanic and an old couple an I had fun talking to them for four days. Anyway, you should socialize to enjoy the activities on the ship!Cruising at Norwegian Sky is the best because first of all, the crew is very friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and polite. 90% of the crew consists of Filipinos and the rest was from India and Malaysia. Our servers are mostly Filipinos and even though we already pay for the gratuity, we still give them tips every time they give us an excellent service. I just hope you do the same folks:-) $10-$20 is not that bad.

I have been planning for many months now to go back to school and pursue my Master's Degree. I have few subjects left and I wanted to enroll in an online school. When I shop, I go to the junior apparel and I always buy medium size dresses. But just lately, I swear, I can fit a junior plus size clothing. In fact, I am wearing it now and it is very comfortable. I was a size 0 and I have been trying to gain weight for years now. Okay, this may sound weird but, I was working out to gain weight. I am so small that some people would think that I am a fifth grader. That is the reason I wanted to gain weight and I am happy to note that I am now a size 3.

Few years back, I love to wear skinny jeans but lately, I am comfortable to wear slacks. The fabric also matters because I prefer soft materials. I am happier now than before because when I shop before, it was awkward because I was shopping in the children section. That was really embarrassing and my husband would tease me for that all the time. When I shop at the junior plus size clothing, I have more freedom to choose from because the sizes vary with the brand, I can fit a medium, large or plus size.

These photos were taken during our road trip last month. We travelled along the scenic view from Mississippi to Florida. The picture below is sand dunes along the area going to Destin, Florida. We are in a low lying land because without that sand, you can already see the water.We are crossing the bridge and I saw yatchs down below. They are enjoying the blue water of Florida coast.The picture below is Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium and Ripley's Moving Theater located in Panama City. This place is nice, full of hotels and condos especially along the beach line. The long stretch of beach here is really beautiful with white sand and very clear water. You should visit Panama City.
When my husband was tired driving, we decided to stay in this hotel. Most of the hotels along the beach area were fully occupied. This hotel had few rooms left so, we booked for one night. The room is not bad and the view of the Gulf is truly the best! This is Beach Tower Resort and it is a small place which is good. I can live in Panama City. I love this area. But, we do not want to live away from Orlando though. Anyway, if you want to have a vacation along the beach, cjeck out Panama City! You will love it here!

Beautiful View By the Gulf

This is the bridge connecting two cities of Mississippi along the Gulf Coast, Biloxi and Ocean Springs. It's so beautiful right? The Isle is a hotel and a casino which is located at the tip of this bridge. The Isle is in Biloxi so; across the bridge is Ocean Springs.Still looking at the direction of Ocean Springs, the sunrise was really beautiful that day. Since we have a balcony, I can see the sunshine from my bed. That was an awesome sight!The sea was so calm that morning. The fishermen started to sail. Those are actually shrimpboats coming from the boat dock at the back of Hard Rock Biloxi.On this hotel, we stayed for a day only because we are done with the transaction the day before.When there is no hurricane, the Gulf is a paradise! Imagine waking up with the sunshine like this.Down below is the parking spaces of the Isle and there are RV's that I saw which are parked down there. This area is pretty safe compared to Orlando. Parking your RV's would be okay. They are not strict with the parking here too. Anyway, hubby and I enjoyed our vacation here and we were able to attend a family important event too. We hope to comeback this Christmas or early next year.

To compete, they have to find sponsors, donors and patrons for their airfares, board and lodging and allowances (pocket money).

Although their training in China is all expense-paid through the Philippine Fencing Association this October, unfortunately there is no more enough budget to shoulder their expenses on the actual days of competition.

I always have an email notification every time they have a promotional sale. And all the time, I can't book any flights for they are sold fast.Guess what? I responded to their promotion and I was able to book a flight from Cagayan de Oro City to Metro Manila for my mother and my brother's family of 5. I was so amazed that I was able to booked successfully. It's my Valentines' Day gift for them and they will spend 6 days wandering the tourist attractions in Manila and visit our cousins. I thought of meeting them in Manila would be fun too (*v*). That will be a big surprise for them. And mama does not like surprises lol. We are tempted to book the Kuala Lumpur flight from Manila. That would be awesome and yap, same price!

After I resigned from my work in Mississippi, I have been taking time for myself and concentrating on my sideline business online. On the street of Garden in Titusville Florida, you will see this shrimp character on the side of the road. There are actually two shrimps standing charmingly along the entrance of the property.

The pond has school of big fish and a family of turtles.
Here is another shrimp, such a baby holding a round thing, maybe that's a light...just a guess.

Car Windshield Washer in Florida

As we were driving the Interstate Highway along Florida towards Alabama, we noticed that the Car Windshield Washer was gone. Did they cut the budget for this free service for the motorists? I feel bad. The picture below is a car windshield washer area but, it is not working! What happen to the budget?

We found one Rest Area that has this service and yep, it is still working but, it is not automatic anymore. You have to stop, turn the faucet and use the hose. You have to wash your windhield manually. Whewww!
