Fishing Boats in Gulf Coast

After my two days trip to the Saint Augustine, I began to appreciate the coast of Florida. No wonder that it is one of the best tourist destinations in the world because it has the beauty of nature, perfect beaches and the weather that you can enjoy to stay outdoor most of the season.I had the privileged of living in Mississippi down the Gulf Coast for almost two years. I must admit, it was equally beautiful. We live just 3 minutes away from the beach and the view was just perfect.
The people are friendly, the food is great, the crime is very low and the place is pretty awesome. Almost every weekend, there are activities in the town and I witness all the happy events in the place.
The wonderful scenery will be seen at the parking garage of Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The fishing boats mostly owned by the Vietnamese fishermen in Biloxi. They sell fresh craw fish, shrimps, blue crab, and all kinds of fishes at affordable price. You should come visit this place. The beach and the food are irresistible.

Funny Behavior in the Casino

Did you know that working in the casino is Fun? When I am sleepy on my shift, I entertain myself in observing the guests playing on their machines. One guest would scream and you would think he won a jackpot, right? NOPE! He just almost hit a combination...hehehe! That man stayed on that machine for hours and he walk home as a loser. But, at least he bragged about it that he enjoyed his night playing the slot machines eventhough he lost. That is a positive character, huh?

One time a woman called me with a casual voice and asked if I could call a slot attendant because she won $1400. I said, " Congratulations! YOU WON! And she just said in a low-monotonous voice "YEY! I WON!" then, we burst out laughing! She said, she hide her excitement because no one is around her. She do not want others to think she is crazy talking to the machine, LOL!

And that is really true. Maybe 6 out of 10 would talk to the slot machines, LOL! They call the slot machines as "baby"! Good thing that they are in the casino. The way they talk to the machine, it seems it is their lover, LOL! With tender touch on the face of the machine. What? Oh yeah!

Biloxi Schooner Pier Complex

I love taking pictures as most of my blogger friends know. I bought a nice digital camera and since I bought it last January, I still did not download the pictures in my PC. I am frequently using my BB though which I find it very handy and easy to download. Anyway, the pictures below were taken just this week at Biloxi Schooner Pier Complex. If you wanna see the view of this place, click HERE. I love this picture, see the weather? AWESOMENESS, LOL! This is the Pier and at the same time the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum is located. The boats/yachts that you see here are privately owned, docked and lived here. This place is their residence, nice huh?
From where I stand and facing this view, I took a picture on my right and below is the beautiful scenery of the beach on Highway 90. The buildings that you see here are the casino and hotel of Hard Rock Biloxi and Beau Rivage.
On my left side, the Grand Casino hotel and casino is just nearby and those cars are on Highway 90, facing the Gulf of Mississippi.
Still on my left, zooming the further view is the ISLE hotel and casino. It is located right along the bridge connecting the two cities of Biloxi and Ocean Springs. Yes! I love this place because I can wander FREE inside these casino. Awesomeness still? LOL!
If you happen to be travelling to the highway 90 by the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, visit these casinos. You will enjoy staying here to unwind for a week. The beach and the view is truly awesome. The SEAFOOD is truly cheap and affordable. The buffet is each of these casinos are FEASTIVE at low price. Aside from these casinos, there are more: IP hotel and casino, Boomtown casino, Treasure Bay hotel and casino and more. Visit Biloxi, Missippi soon!

Shrimp Season in Biloxi

My husband and I went to Hard Rock today to purchase my Air Supply Ticket for tonight's concert. Two days ago, I was so hesitant because I want to watch it with him. But, since their music is not his type, he wants me to watch it alone. After knowing the feedback of last night's concert, I decided to buy my ticket today. Down below the Hard Rock hotel are shrimping boats who sell shrimp. The sign looks like this:We bought 15 lbs of the medium size which they sold for $2.00. They were sold to us by those Vietnamese who have shrimping business.

That is the garage of Hard Rock Hotel, back area. It was there that I took the pictures that I posted in {VIEW BEHIND HARDROCK OF BILOXI}.

That is the back area of Hard Rock and these are the Biloxi Harbor where you can purchase fresh shrimp at minimal price.

Those are the people on the line to buy the shrimp. I did not take the picture of the jumbo shrimp because I left my camera at the car. I took these pictures right after we bought. Don't wanna go back.
These are the medium shrimp that we bought. It's the regular bite size shrimp. Ohh, the concert ticket? It was sold out! Not my luck to watch them this year huh!

US Highway 90 Of Biloxi

This is US Highway 90 of Biloxi, Mississippi. The buildings that you see are Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Beau Rivage Hotel and Casino. If you travel this highway, as you can see, the left side are establishments that have recovered from the 2005 natural calamity. Not fully recovered but, the business is good and keeps getting better.
Did you know that when Hurricane Katrina hit this place, this area fronting the hotels are flooded with 12 foot high water surge from the Gulf Coast Beach? Yap! Imagine a 12 ft water here.
The back of this building is already the Biloxi Harbor. The water surge cross the street and damage some of these building. They rebuilt it though. The right side of this street is totally different view. A heartbreaker which after 4 years, it is still visible.

Hang Out Of The Day

We do not plan to go here today. Here is what happened.

We head to Biloxi today to watch the famous airshow showcasing the Military expertise in piloting the fighter jets. It was past noon but look at the traffic on the I-1o, so heavy and long so, we decided to cut to another route passing the inner city. We are on the I-10 Bridge here.
As I look down, the yacht and boats are enjoying the Spring Season. This area must be a good spot to see the airshow. Our target is to go on that shoreline. Here we are. That is the bridge were we came from. Now, the cars are bumper to bumper even here. We are almost on the gate of the Military Air Base. Bad news! There is no vacant parking space so, all the cars from here up to that bridge will be denied entry. Well, I have patience to tolerate such unfortunate event of the day. We turn around and head to Hard Rock Casino.
