#Epcot : The Best Place to Unwind

There is none compared to Epcot!

Among the Disney Parks in Orlando Florida, Epcot is my favorite place to unwind. The rides are thrilling, exciting and simply amazing plus, seeing different countries inside a park is truly one of a kind attraction!

This place is truly magical. The flower garden, the amazing display of Disney characters and the thrilling rides made me want to stay here forever. That's exaggeration I know but, hey there's truth to it. This place is magical where happy thoughts just popping in my mind like bubbles. All good thoughts.

I love the flower garden. This place I so relaxing.

Though this place makes me happy, I do sometimes wish that someday, I can visit Epcot again with my mom and my brother with his family. That will be so much fun!

If I win a million, I will have a flower garden like this. So beautiful and colorful!

Anyway, being here ... seeing all these ...made me realized that without a family to share this lovely place with, life is not complete. Epcot is a better place to visit if family explore the park together.

Disney World Passholder Ticket

For few days now, we were not sure to go to Orlando on the first week of October. We were in dilemma to go on the first week and be there too on the 3rd week, the road trip will be tiring. But since we do not want to stay in Orlando for 2 weeks, we decided yesterday that we will just have two trips. First trip will be scheduled on Tuesday and the itinerary will be to Disney and do shopping in IKEA.

Thinking that our pass will expire on October 9, we decided to push the Disney trip on the 6th. Look at the date, Boooom! It expired today LOL. I remember that last year, we went to Epcot and Magic Kingdom to take pictures of the Fall Display then; the woman at the ticket center convince us to renew our pass on that day. She made a mistake with the payment and the expiration date. Anyway, it doesn't matter now LOL!

We don't have plans to renew it especially now that we are living most of the time in Mississippi. I will truly miss visiting Disney World.

#HearstCastle's #NeptunePool

I was watching the Travel Channel today and was amazed to see the Hearst Castle's Neptune Pool in the Santa Lucia Mountains designed by Julia Morgan. The Neptune Pool was built for perfection, why? It was rebuilt three times from 1924 and finally completed in 1936. The impressive features of this luxurious pool are the following: fountains, sculptures, marble pavilions, ancient temple façade and alabaster lanterns. Neptune Pool holds 35,000 gallons of water. It is 58 wide and the length is 104 feet with variations of 3.5 to 10 feet depths.

Here's the Roman Temple Terminus

The Neptune Pool is a gorgeous pool isn't it? With the design elements and architectural details added to this place, I would think that this place is in Europe. Well, if you are in California, #HearstCastle is located between San Francisco and Los Angeles. I would love to check out this place one day. Do you want to see this place? You can purchase a ticket for $25 (adult) and $12 (children). Better yet, just visit  hearstcastle.org for more info. Have fun!

D'Iberville Mississippi #MardiGras

Here's another set of old photos that I found for those who were asking to post Mardi Gras photos in Mississippi. Anyway, today in #NewOrleans is crazy! They party hard so; if you love fun and party hard, today is the best time to visit the French Quarter in New Orleans. Like any other tourist spots though, you should be very careful at all time. Do not wander the streets after dark, park your car in secured parking space, do not leave any valuable things inside the car and do not drink 'til you drop because believe me, dangers are just lurking around. Okay, as what I am saying, if you love crazy party, visit the #FrenchQuarter and eat beignets at Cafe' Du Monde while waiting for the Mardi Gras parade. 98% around you are friendly as if you are all friends for life LOL. Have fun but be cautious, or else you'll go home without your wallet.

It is probably an hour drive from #DIberville to French Quarter but, on this visit to Mississippi, we are on a rush of time. We were in Mississippi for 5 days and stayed in two hotels, the Beau Rivage Casino and Resort, and the Isle which is now called Golden Nugget Casino Hotel. I love watching the Mardi Gras parades in Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Pass Christian and D'Iberville in Mississippi. These photos were taken in D'Iberville, Mississippi. A cousin owns the "lighthouse" building (background house) and the people that's in the picture are my family too.

One of the biggest Mardi Gras parades in Mississippi is in D'Iberville. Floats are beautiful and well decorated. Most Krewes gave out nice and collectible beads. If you have children, you will get lucky for sure. They love to throw nice beads to children and handicapped individuals.

Krewes throw beads, bracelets, moon pies, toys, candies, teddy bears, flowers, sexy undies  LOL, plastic mugs and cups, duobloons and more.

When Krewes throw beads on our direction, we need to catch it for good luck. A lot of beads fell to the ground and most people don't bother to pick them. Some of us did though LOL especially if the beads are rare and collectibles.

Here's a cousin with her treasures. Oh she is so pretty.

Actually, I was not lucky on this day. I collected few beads but, there was a couple who gave me a bag of their beads. In Mardi Gras parades, everyone is friendly! See the father with the kid beside me? They got all the beads. The Krewes didn't see me at all hahaha.

Here I am having a good time with few beads in hand.

See the beads on the street? They are common beads and people don't want them.

Here I am still beside with father and son hehehe. "Gimme some beads" ....

Oh those beads hanging are nice! The lady in action (stripes) hahaha. Screaming, "Gimme some beads ... here..." There are times, the Krewes gave the nice beads to their friends and family.

Look, the flying beads hehehe.

Oh see the woman here, she got more beads! Way to go!

Since I am not getting anything, I told hubby to take a picture of me with these gorgeous high school band. Dang! I was caught off-guard, this woman pushed me on the side! arghhh ...

 Me with Erin :-)

That's all for now friends. Thank you for stopping in my blog always. Happy Fat Tuesday and if you are a Catholic, tomorrow is the first day of Lent season. Don't forget to go to church for Ash Wednesday mass. See you next time!

A Quick Visit in Kennedy Space Center

You are in for a treat today. I was able to dig some photos of NASA's Kennedy Space Center awhile ago and I thought of sharing these with you all. I am truly busy for the past few weeks because we are moving to the gulf coast. I have few minutes to fool with my PC because it's raining outside and I can't do my #DIY yet.
This place is heading to the Astronaut's Memorial.
For kids who are visiting the Kennedy Space Center, the Astronaut's Memorial could be the last place they will check out and the Angry Birds attraction must be their priority. I based that from what I observed every time I visited KSC. The Astronaut's Memorial is one my personal favorites because this place is truly educational. This is a sad place and solemn but, at the same time, uplifting and inspirational.
Me taking a rest.
I know, you can't see a single soul here. The tourists went to the attractions besides, they can check out this place in few minutes.
I took these photo to show you, no one is heading to the memorial yet.

The memorial is a big area.

A display on the way to the Memorial.

NASA's Jet Set

Northrop T-38 Talon in 1965 is the first twin-engine, high altitude supersonic jet trainer aircraft.

It keeps us wondering "What's next?"

Before Atlantis arrived here. Oh you should see the Atlantis Attraction today. Worth your money really.

The Angry Birds attraction and yep, kids love this place.

This place is what you see when you are heading to the Astronaut's Memorial.

Of course, the Rocket Garden is always a favorite.

If you plan to visit Florida, you should include NASA's Kennedy Space Center. It is just an hour drive from Orlando. I can assure you that the ticket you paid for to check out #KSC is worth it. You will have a great time in Atlantis, Rocket Garden, Apollo/Saturn V Center, and Astronaut's Memorial are places worth seeing for. Thanks for stopping by. I will see you next time.

Fun Road Trip to Missouri

This great looking SUV is Ford Edge, one of the best ride that we have. When we went to Missouri for a one week vacation, we cancelled our flight and take the road trip instead. No regret! We enjoyed the long ride. Oh my goodness, the mountains in Tennessee are gorgeous. We stopped in one of the towns in this state to buy lunch in a Chinese Buffet.

Yep, we pass by Illinois and it was fall season so; the colors of the leaves are already changing.

We love this road trip and though it's tiring, the sight is just gorgeous.

I am not sure where this place at but, we did pass by a lot of bridges. Our road trip started from Florida to Missouri.

Going to Missouri, we traveled in three days and we stayed in two hotels in Tennessee and in Missouri right after St. Louis.

From Florida, we crossed the states of Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois and finally reached Missouri by 1 PM on the 3rd day.

Check out the sign, I wonder if the city is nearby from here :-)

Hubby and I truly enjoyed our trip and we plan to visit Missouri again. Among the states that I mentioned above, we are interested to visit Tennessee and stay there for few days.
