I have found that redecorating the house is actually a great way to get my kids ready for school. It is also a great way for me to have an excuse to slurge a little and make the house look fabulous without worrying my husband! I love having my kids involved in every step of redecorating the house. With their help, my kids learn how to be responsible and focus on finishing a single task, which are important skills for school.
I have taught my kids so many life skills through the act of redecorating the house. For example, my kids get to boost their creativity in helping me choose which colors to paint the house. In addition, I let my kids choose which colors they want their room painted. It is so fun to see how excited my kids get when they see the finished product.
