Bonding Moment On A Holiday

"There is no fun when you do the yard" says my cousin. LOL! But, I did have fun. Well, not that I love doing this but, this is really fun. Dad went out the yard and start riding on his gadget. He loves it! No hard work! Just fun! This is my tool.... a blower, no sweat at all!
Up north they have to shovel the snow, here in Mississippi, leaves are everywhere. How I wish I am shoveling snow instead. But, anyway, got my blower...this will be good. Looks like a chainsaw in this angle.LOL!
Dad enjoyed the ride. He was playing opppsss, I meant He was working good.LOL! Go Daddy, Go!
Are you sure those thing works perfect? "I still see the leaves Dad".
Ohh, my hubby worked so hard. All through the day, he just hold that wire and supervised. HMMM! LOL!

Crawfish in Mississippi

My favorite food in Mississippi. This is spicy. I love this place because of this. This is not their season so, its expensive for a 3.48/lb. Last summer, it costs only less than $2. But, I should swallow the price anyway. If you come to Mississippi or New Orleans, try this! Very delicious!

Trip to Mississippi

We are supposed to travel Mississippi at 5 A.M. today but since the fog is bad according to the news, we hit the road at 8:00. Of course, I will be showing you just the road trips. Nothing fancy but just the road view.
We are heading to that dark area of fogs. Well, earlier it was zero visibility. But, at this time we are alright.
I love road trips. I love to see the wide skyline and the air was really fresh and clean. The road is not crowded....oh well, seems so isolated in this picture LOL! There are some private cars and trucks though heading the same direction towards the East side.
The fog is obvious now right? Cool air. We are in I-10 highway. This road goes all the way to Georgia. The road is very nice to travel and the signage is easy to follow. The trees are mostly pine trees and since this is Florida, there are numerous swamps that we pass by.
These are Florida oranges they are selling. I took pictures as we stop by the rest area. We need to stretch our legs from time to time along the trips. We stop by for a coffee at starbucks.
Looks like Philippine setting ha?LOL! Well, we don't see this the last time we travel. Maybe, they are doing this every Christmas season. The prices are a bit higher though than in grocery.
We continue our trip to Ocean Springs, Mississippi. I can only think to eat craw fish ... my favorite food in this state.

That dark cloud is not fogs, it was a rain cloud. So, it's already 11 and we need gas.
I don't know but I guess this is a new gas station. Love's. So unique right? It was 1.67 , bit expensive because there are good deal in Orlando but we need to gas.
I am tired now..to be continued tomorrow.

Bare Streets

This is a continuation of my observation on the streets here. There are no commuters, no people walking along the streets, no vendors, no trash too and the landscaping is manicured and well maintained. The plants that I usually noticed are tropical kind. Almost all of the plants are similar in the Philippines.

The street signs are very visible and everywhere. So, if you know how to read signs and have the sense of following directions, you will never get lost in Orlando. Some streets are really confusing.

The Streets of Orlando

When I first arrived here in Orlando, the first observation that I have was the whole street seemed empty of commuters. I was used to seeing crowded streets. People walking, jeepneys everywhere and taxi is just accessible anytime. Look at the streets here, no one. Only private cars and seldom you can find the bus or taxi.

These pictures was taken yesterday when we went to the airport. I miss seeing the commuters on the street. I miss the vendors selling cigarettes and candies on the sidewalk. I miss the people who makes the street busy-looking.

iLASIK Procedures

I posted few months ago that my mother had undergone an eye operation which was unsuccessful. The said experience was a traumatic one for her . I was researching some painless eye operation online to at least give her hope and have another surgery to consider.

Today, I read this article about Modern LASIK. I was curious about this procedure and I learned so much about it and who benefit the most. They call it iLASIK procedure because it uses two lasers. The first laser is used to make a thin flap in the area of cornea . This flap enables the surgeon to make the iLASIK correction. Then, the second laser is used to make the correction to the cornea based on individuals vision and eye characteristics. This dual innovation on laser technology is completely computerized, clinically safe and virtually painless. This is what my mother needs.

There was a study conducted to 100 military personnel and they undergone a Military Evaluation of Modern LASIK and the results showed that 95% of them have 20/20 uncorrected vision or better. This 20/20 term is known to be the baseline and the standard for a good vision which a military personnel should have. The lower the second number, our vision would be better it says.

Now, this procedure really helps the military personnel because they can perform their work better with good vision without the trouble of wearing contact lenses and glasses. I had just known that an aviator like fighter pilots usually have 20/15 vision. That is amazing! Some of them who undergone iLasik procedure highly recommends this type of surgery to other naval aviators.

t is very understandable why the Department of Defense (DOD) and NASA recommended this all-laser form of LASIK as a means to improve the vision of U.S. military, NASA personnel and Aviators because they are always indulge in intense and demanding conditions at work. According to Steven Schallhorn, M.D., a retired U.S. Navy captain and leader of clinical research and studies, says that DOD and NASA recognized LASIK as the leading eye procedure which is safe and effective. Take it from their word. Visit their website now.

For more LASIK information on LASIK technology just check out iLASIK.com and start making consideration on iLASIK surgery to have a 20/20 vision to enjoy.

FoodChain

My fave place to hang out when I am hungry. I love their food to go specially the fishfillet. In Long John Silvers yesterday, I saw they have a new product that has fish and rice on it. Too bad I already eaten halfway when I saw that...funny! I am getting used to their menu here in the U.S. Back home, whenever I go to McDonalds, Jollibee and KFC, we always have rice or a burger on it. Here, no rice. I guess I saw it on Taco Bell. Just like what I said, Long John's has one now.

This is a two in one place which is good because diners can choose variety of orders. Like Taco, chicken planks or fish...
