#DonaldTrump's Private Jet

Few days ago, I was hooked on watching the Smithsonian Channel and one of the episodes that truly fascinated me featured Donald Trump's Private Jet, the Boeing 757. It was so luxurious and Donald Trump's private pilot, John Dunkin is truly an awesome man who delivered top notch work ethic to his highly demanding boss.

He loves his job and though the demand of his work is perfection, he was able to pull all-together amidst the problems encountered in between flights. He was there for the inspection of the plane before take off. He makes sure that the inside details of the plane should be spotless and perfect. He got the coolest job I think. Here's part of the episode that I saw:

#HearstCastle's #NeptunePool

I was watching the Travel Channel today and was amazed to see the Hearst Castle's Neptune Pool in the Santa Lucia Mountains designed by Julia Morgan. The Neptune Pool was built for perfection, why? It was rebuilt three times from 1924 and finally completed in 1936. The impressive features of this luxurious pool are the following: fountains, sculptures, marble pavilions, ancient temple façade and alabaster lanterns. Neptune Pool holds 35,000 gallons of water. It is 58 wide and the length is 104 feet with variations of 3.5 to 10 feet depths.

The Neptune Pool is a gorgeous pool isn't it? With the design elements and architectural details added to this place, I would think that this place is in Europe. Well, if you are in California, #HearstCastle is located between San Francisco and Los Angeles. I would love to check out this place one day. Do you want to see this place? You can purchase a ticket for $25 (adult) and $12 (children). Better yet, just visit  hearstcastle.org for more info. Have fun!

#Umac #BalikbayanBox Tracking is Down

Yesterday, I sent an email to UMAC in-charge in Orlando, Florida asking about the whereabouts of my boxes. The last time I checked using the tracking link in umaccargo.net, one box arrived in Manila last Feb 25 but as of today, the box is not yet delivered. The tracking page in their website is down for more than a week now.

Awhile ago, I received an email from them informing me that my box will be delivered March 13-14 and the rest will follow. They also provided me the tentative dates of the other boxes. All I have to do now is wait and hoping that the box will be received in perfect condition. Last December, my box was slashed-open at the bottom part. I was upset and sent UMAC a complaint to investigate. So far, UMAC has been a good company and I trusted them since 2008. I have no issues with all the boxes I sent thru them except the last box which I sent last December. I am hoping that it will never happen again.

The M and M Philippine Mart in 7339 E Colonial Dr Ste 3 Orlando, FL 32807 is where I usually send my box. I like this store because the in-charge is friendly. If you live in Orlando and looking for a Filipino store, this is the address and you may also call them in this number: (407) 281-6999.
If you are trying to know the whereabouts of your box, try to contact the in-charge of your location. The name, phone numbers and email is listed in their website umaccargo.net then click branches. Goodluck!

Playing the Guitar

For me, guitar is the easiest musical instrument to play with. As soon as you master 3 chords, the combination can make music. You can find many songs that have 3, 4, and 5 chords combination. For a start, you need to learn few chords and master how to strum. The more you practice, strumming guitar will soon become your favorite past-time. Eventually, you will challenge yourself to learn the tricky chords and how to do plucking.

Later on, you will find yourself visiting to a music store and look for musical gadget such as cheap slides from guitar center. That is likely to happen because you want to have vibrato and sustain that sound as you strum. Not only that, you will also maintain short nails so that you will not scratch and ruin the fret of your guitar. Tell me, are you doing that now?

Knowing the Parts of Classical Guitar

I made mention before that I can play the guitar but, having trouble in tuning it. Maybe I am not trying hard enough to learn. I get frustrated after many attempts. I actually bought a digital guitar tuner but, never tried it LOL. Okay for now, I am reviewing the parts of guitar for no apparent reason at all. I thought it is nice to share this to all of you too.

Thanks for stopping by.

Photography as a Hobby

Photography is one of my hobbies since elementary grades. It started when my mom bought me a single-use camera for my science project. I was dissecting a frog and taking pictures of it. To have the pictures developed, I need to use all the 36 films and since we lived near the river, I took advantage of taking pictures of nature. I was pretty satisfied of all my shots in fact; my teacher gave me a good grade for documenting my project in details. That was then and now; I can't stop myself from taking pictures of anything that I find beautiful, breath-taking and interesting subject.

The picture above is raw and un-edited with natural light. It was a gloomy day and I was using the unfamiliar feature from my digital camera. I did 3-shots to capture this amazing view. It is not a perfect shot but, I was able to see the beauty of this place in wide angle. I can't wait to go back here soon and capture the same shot using my DSLR. This is a good place to spend a honeymoon. Nice view by the beach, a lot of attractions to explore and this place has the good eats to explore. The food is fabulous and affordable. If you live in Raleigh but wanted to have a wedding in one of the casino resorts in the area, contact raleigh wedding photography. You need to capture every awesome moment of your wedding day and to get that, you don't need an amateur. Hire the expert!

As for me, I am planning to get a short course in Photography soon. Why not right?

D'Iberville Mississippi #MardiGras

Here's another set of old photos that I found for those who were asking to post Mardi Gras photos in Mississippi. Anyway, today in #NewOrleans is crazy! They party hard so; if you love fun and party hard, today is the best time to visit the French Quarter in New Orleans. Like any other tourist spots though, you should be very careful at all time. Do not wander the streets after dark, park your car in secured parking space, do not leave any valuable things inside the car and do not drink 'til you drop because believe me, dangers are just lurking around. Okay, as what I am saying, if you love crazy party, visit the #FrenchQuarter and eat beignets at Cafe' Du Monde while waiting for the Mardi Gras parade. 98% around you are friendly as if you are all friends for life LOL. Have fun but be cautious, or else you'll go home without your wallet.

It is probably an hour drive from #DIberville to French Quarter but, on this visit to Mississippi, we are on a rush of time. We were in Mississippi for 5 days and stayed in two hotels, the Beau Rivage Casino and Resort, and the Isle which is now called Golden Nugget Casino Hotel. I love watching the Mardi Gras parades in Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Pass Christian and D'Iberville in Mississippi. These photos were taken in D'Iberville, Mississippi. A cousin owns the "lighthouse" building (background house) and the people that's in the picture are my family too.

One of the biggest Mardi Gras parades in Mississippi is in D'Iberville. Floats are beautiful and well decorated. Most Krewes gave out nice and collectible beads. If you have children, you will get lucky for sure. They love to throw nice beads to children and handicapped individuals.

Krewes throw beads, bracelets, moon pies, toys, candies, teddy bears, flowers, sexy undies  LOL, plastic mugs and cups, duobloons and more.

When Krewes throw beads on our direction, we need to catch it for good luck. A lot of beads fell to the ground and most people don't bother to pick them. Some of us did though LOL especially if the beads are rare and collectibles.

Here's a cousin with her treasures. Oh she is so pretty.

Actually, I was not lucky on this day. I collected few beads but, there was a couple who gave me a bag of their beads. In Mardi Gras parades, everyone is friendly! See the father with the kid beside me? They got all the beads. The Krewes didn't see me at all hahaha.

Here I am having a good time with few beads in hand.

See the beads on the street? They are common beads and people don't want them.

Here I am still beside with father and son hehehe. "Gimme some beads" ....

Oh those beads hanging are nice! The lady in action (stripes) hahaha. Screaming, "Gimme some beads ... here..." There are times, the Krewes gave the nice beads to their friends and family.

Look, the flying beads hehehe.

Oh see the woman here, she got more beads! Way to go!

Since I am not getting anything, I told hubby to take a picture of me with these gorgeous high school band. Dang! I was caught off-guard, this woman pushed me on the side! arghhh ...

 Me with Erin :-)

That's all for now friends. Thank you for stopping in my blog always. Happy Fat Tuesday and if you are a Catholic, tomorrow is the first day of Lent season. Don't forget to go to church for Ash Wednesday mass. See you next time!
