Expensive Original Jersey

Last Sunday, I slept the whole morning because I was so exhausted from my night shift work. We are allowed to wear Jersey in my workplace in support of the National Football League season. I told my husband that I will buy one for me too (thinking it's only $25 below). After waking up at 2PM, my husband handed me a bag with New Orleans Saints Jersey.
It is a medium size for women and I my eyes grew big when I saw the $60 price tag on it. I told him to return it because it's way too expensive for me. He insisted that it is his gift for me. If it is a Guess sneakers or a Guess eye wear, I can swallow the price. This Jersey is my most expensive shirt so far. But, for a t-shirt (as I call it, LOL) that is too much. Well, for NFL fans out there, I know now that having an original Jersey must be something huh!

New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints are a professional American football team based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Saints play in the South Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL).

The Saints' home stadium is the Louisiana Superdome. The team has played its home games in the "dome" since 1975. However, due to damage caused by Hurricane Katrina to the New Orleans area, the Saints' 2005 home opener was played at Giants Stadium against the New York Giants.

After a $185 million renovation of the historic stadium, the team returned to the Superdome for the 2006 season. The team played its 2006 home opener in front of a sold-out crowd and national television audience on September 25, 2006, defeating its NFC South rival, the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 23–3. The victory received a 2007 ESPY award for "Best Moment in Sports." The Saints are one of five NFL teams that have yet to play in a Super Bowl. - source: wikipaedia

I Am A Visual Learner

Before I blog hop, I had the chance to visit blogthings.com again and out of curiosity, I answered a quiz. The kind of Learner: Visual Learner result:

You tend to remember what you see, and you have a good eye for aesthetics.
You excel at art, design, and computer programming.
You would be an excellent film director - or the next Bill Gates.

For sure I can not memorize names but, I remember events and how a person impacted my life. I am a passive person so; I usually remember details.

Give Honor to the Fallen Hero

The funeral for Lance Cpl. Christopher Fowlkes, 20 years old was held last Friday in downtown Gaffney, South Carolina. Fowlkes was critically wounded in Afghanistan after an IED struck an armored vehicle that he and his company were riding in. The residents lined the streets in celebration of the young Marine’s life. The motorcycle riders led the way as the young man was led to his final resting place. The bells tolled and there was a moment of silence for him. September 18, 2009 was declared by the Cherokee County Council as Lance Cpl. Christopher S. Fowlkes Day in Cherokee County.

We should give this RESPECT and HONOR to anyone who died in combat right? BUT, guess what happened when Brenda Earls stick some flags along the path of the funeral procession? Of all the establishments there, BANK OF AMERICA pulled the flags in their premises. When Brenda Earls came back thinking she might had just missed it, the branch manager came out stopping her! Against Corporate Policy, she said.

It's really sickening! There were hundreds of clients closed their accounts in that branch after knowing what had occurred. It was ironic when the branch manager said that the FLAG might be OFFENSIVE to other customers. WE ARE IN THE US! How could OTHERS be offended upon seeing a US FLAG? When she pulled the flags on the ground, it was an act of dishonor and disrespect of the country.

When Larry di Rita, a spokesperson of Bank of America appeared on TV to apologize, I was glad. But, the TV apology is not enough! Bank of America should do something for that branch manager. Everyone makes mistakes but, people can be forgiving too. That branch manager should SAY SORRY and admit that she was wrong and confused of the banks policy!

Busy as an Ant

You must be wondering why I was off for 3 days right? I am so EXHAUSTED! I can not blog hop even if I wanted to. My body is so stiff and still adjusting for my graveyard schedule at work. Employees who work in the graveyard shift needs an APPLAUD really! They are like robot machines. Sometimes, the work kept you awake and there are times that the dragging hours can keep you sleepy.
Today, I met a Filipina who works for a swing shift and still has another job to report plus, have children to take care too. My heart goes out for her. I hope she will be blessed with GOOD HEALTH so she can perform the GOOD JOB always. Anyway, because of stress my migraine attack for two days. Good thing that today, I am okay. So, I can blog hop and see you in a bit. And yes, I missed paid post opportunities. No time to write even if I can reserved them. I am alright though. At least someone out there gets th chance to grab it.

Sweet November: My Favorite

I was watching an Old Movie of Keanu Reeves as Nelson, a San Francisco ad man who stays just busy enough to keep from noticing his loneliness. But one autumn, Nelson gets involved with a free spirit named Sara, Charlize Theron who turns his world upside down. But Sara says their romance can last only one month. You saw that movie right? If not, watch it if you like drama. It is a good movie in 2001. The movie is dragging sometimes but, it makes the whole movie complete. Just bare with it though, it's really a good movie.

In relation to that movie, I would like to REMEMBER a good FRIEND of mine Ma'am LETTY REYES who is now in the hands of our Lord. This song is for you Ma'am. Thanks for the memorable time and business dealings you had me engaged with. Rest in Peace.

Here is the soundtract of that movie by ENYA.

Who can say
where the road goes
where the day flows
only time

And who can say
if your love grows
as your heart chose
only time

Who can say
why your heart sighs
as your love flies
only time

And who can say
why your heart cries
when your love lies
only time

Who can say
when the roads meet
that love might be
in your heart

And who can say
when the day sleeps
if the night keeps
all your heart

Night keeps all your heart

Who can say
if your love grows
as your heart chose
only time

And who can say
where the road goes
where the day flows
only time

Who knows - only time
Who knows - only time

Employee Monitoring Software

I was impressed by the Employee monitoring tool featured in activtrak.com. After viewing the live demo, I realized that companies need this software in order to protect their assets. From the employer's point of view, the employees Time, Dedication to Work and Quality Performance at work is essential. Somethings There

When I was teaching in Liceo de Cagayan, Grade school Department, Belle is the character of my student for custome contest. She won therefore our class won! This is the song that was played as the background music. This is one of my favorite songs, even at present.

Belle:
There's something sweet
And almost kind
But he was mean and he was coarse and unrefined
But now he's dear, and so unsure
I wonder why I didn't see it there before

Beast:
She glanced this way
I thought I saw
And when we touched she didn't shudder at my paw
No it can't be, I'll just ignore
But then she's never looked at me that way before

Belle:
New and a bit alarming
Who'd have ever thought that this could be?
True that he's no Prince Charming
But there's something in him that I simply didn't see

Lumiere:
Well, who'd have thought?

Mrs Potts:
Well, bless my soul

Cogsworth:
Well, who'd have known?

Mrs Potts:
Well, who indeed?

Lumiere:
And who'd have guessed they'd come together on their own?

Mrs Potts:
It's so peculiar. Wait and see

Lumiere and Cogsworth:
We'll wait and see
All three:

A few days more
There may be something there that wasn't there before

Cogsworth:
Perhaps there's something there
That wasn't there before

Chip:
What?

Mrs Potts:
There may be something there that wasn't there before

Chip: What's there, Mama?

Mrs Potts: Ssh. I'll tell you when you're older.

Busy Day Today

I woke up so early today and did my blog hopping because I had to report to a work related task at 10 AM. I thought it would only last for 3 hours but, I was wrong! That task ended at 4:30PM. I was so exhausted even if all we did was listen to the speaker's demonstration. I had a free lunch buffet with my manager, part of the activity and I had a good time joking around with my Jamaican companion. After the activity, I went to my class right away at 5:30 to 9:00 PM. Now, I am so tired and sleepy. I am doing my blog hopping now. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blogs. See you in your blogs.

Birthday Party

This is a birthday cake showing the SAINTS NFL decoration. The celebrant is a big fan of New Orleans Football Team and today, we watched the Saints won over the LIONS. Looks like a double celebration for us huh!
We had another party held in the house today and its the birthday of my brother-in-law. He is a Scottish and the little girl that I posted in BEYOND PHOTOGRAPHY is his daughter. We had a good time and all the family members were here. I can only share these pictures though. It was his little daughter who took these pictures. She was begging her daddy to pose for her.
We all wanted to hold the party and family gatherings here in the house of my father-in-law because the "king" of the house wanted it. This is my opinion though. I called my father-in-law KING, just teasing him, LOL. After all, he is the MAN of the house. If a party held in another venue, he will not come and have many excuses. Anyway, this set up is better for him. At 89, he will get tired easily.

Lovely Place

Did you know that this place is in Afghanistan? It was taken by a friend of mine who was assigned in Afghanistan two years ago. This is a military base, dawntime. Lovely place but, just a sad thought that the place is doomed. My friend was lucky to have his own internet connection in his little space.
The last time I had spoken with him was when they are on the way to a mission. I never heard of him since. I know he went back safely to the US and spent a vacation in Chatanooga, TN.

Versace Sunglasses

I was suppose to blog about eyeglasses123.com but, they ban my post because I have a PR 0. PPP offer me the amount of $5 to blog about Versace sunglass. When I posted the article, the advertiser of eyeglasses123.com ban my blog. It surely affect my rating in PPP. This company has no right to ban me! Their requirement is any rank that is why PPP gave the opportunity to my domain. Maybe the advertiser of eyeglasses123.com can't afford to pay me the $5. They could have ask me, I will just write for free as long as they don't give me a "BAN" point. PPP bloggers, beware of this advertiser in PPP.

Ellen DeGeneres on American Idol

This is an exciting news for all the "American Idol" viewers, Ellen is the new judge. We will be missing Paula Abdul for sure but, Ellen is the best pick for that show. That is just my opinion. What do you think? She is fun. I love her show. I am so excited to see this year's American Idol.

Holiday Sweaters

Have you seen the movie of Renee Zellweger's Bridget Diary? Well, I was just reminded of the Ugly Sweaters worn by one of the leading men. It's embarrassing for them wearing Christmas Sweaters when their biggest crush is around. For them, it's humiliating to wear moose or scarecrow prints. In the eyes for those who admire them, it was the best sweaters ever! Love is really magical, right? Anyway, if you are looking for women's holiday sweaters, just check out the links provided here. If you want to give it as a gift for someone or for yourself, own it and have fun for it.

Going Green

When my husband and I had our road trip I always took pictures of just anything that caught my attention. Pictures of nice places, green grass, tall trees, building and that includes houses with solar panels on the rooftop.

On the Bridge

Traveling towards the city of Biloxi, Mississippi. I like this bridge. It connects two cities in Mississippi. On the left side, there is a spacious walkway for bridge walkers. It is very safe. I never tried to walk accross the bridge yet. They say, it was really beautiful. I really do not know if I can walk across and I won't dare also hehehe. I might try halfway at the highest point of the bridge just to take the pictures. I will be doing that activity during the cold season. Thanks for the visit friends. See the building at the far end of the picture? HERE is the closer look. Enjoy!

The Isle of Capri in Biloxi

As you head out from the bridge connecting Biloxi and Ocean Springs in Mississippi along US highway 90, Isle of Capri is just on the left side. The side view of the hotel/casino facing the bridge. The lobby is beautiful and would direct you towards the casino on the first floor.
This is the nice view of the parking lot below. I took these pictures on the self-parking lot building. The parking lot is about 4 storey high.
It was LaborDay but, as you can see, the parking lot here was vacant. It would have been good if this area was filled in right?
We are on our way out now heading to Boomtown Casino. We just had lunch here because it is a lot cheaper.
The side view of the Isle of Capri showing the pass connecting the casino towards the self-parking lot.

This is on the way to the entrance and if you want to choose valet parking, this is the way. I rather have a valet parking because I will have no hassle at all. I saw other tourists gave $1. Yes! Do not be intimidated. Just give something though. $3 is okay. If you are extravagant, give $10 or above, you can surely make the valet in-charge SMILE (*v*). Thanks for the visit.

Salute to the Food Servers

We were in the Isle of Capri Casino and Hotel today. My husband treat me for lunch in the Calypso's buffet. I was observing the buffet-servers there and I admire them for being so good on their job. Our server is a Vietnamese and she was also our server when I had my birthday blow-out last July. Did you know that most of the buffet servers received a minimal amount of hourly rate and depend on tips to make-up the difference?

Some received 4.25/hour plus tips. Considering how tiring their job, they deserved to be given a big tip, right? In the US, food servers has a minimal rates really. So, if they treat you good while you are dining, give something that can make them smile ;) Today, I salute our Vietnamese server and I give her good tip. Hoping you do that too. Happy Labor Day Everyone!

Maritime and Seafood Museum

Taken the day before the Fourth Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina in Biloxi, Mississippi. I told my husband to visit this area because I saw this everday on the bridge as we pass by. I took these pictures , not a good sight though because it reminded me how the storm totally damaged the museum here.
I had nobody to ask about this display. Just read through the signage above though.
This will be transferred probably to the new Museum few miles away from here. What remains in the old museum is the flooring and nothing else.
Here is the part of the museum property. Walking distance is the sea water already. Remember that on that hurricane, the bridge collapsed too. The museum is just one of the many buildings totally washed out.
Part of the display of the museum, just left here for viewing purposes.
Part of the building that was washed out and this will be its home.
The sight after four years and it will remain as part of the history of the city of Biloxi, Mississippi.

Colorful Dining Room Furniture

I was viewing to the display of modern furniture, contemporary furniture and Italian dining room furniture on the Web. But, I saw this colorful dining room set at eroomservice.com and I like it right away. My favorite colors are light green and mint green, and this table set belongs to the shades of green. And that what drives me to adore the color and its sleek design. This is a very simple furniture and easy to clean because it is not bulky. I can imagine myself having a formal dining with my husband in this dining set. Since we don't have kids yet, this kind of furniture is just the right for us.

Acqua di Gio

My all time favorite Scent is Acqua di Gio of Giorgio Armani. My husband is using this fragrance for men for many months now. I like the light, fresh and aquatic fragrance and he wore it on a daily basis too. This is the kind of cologne that can make your man special. Last December, when my husband and I did our window shopping at Florida Mall, Acqua di Gio was on sale. I bought it for the first time and my husband just like the smell of it. He hated strong colognes and this is his signature smell now. If you are interested, you can buy this product at scent.net. Check it out today.

For those who knew me since I started accepting paidpost, they can attest that I am always loyal to IZEA company. To become a member of Izea, you need to be patient from the time of your blog submission. Luckily, my blog was accepted in Pay Per Post at first attempt. Yet, it took me a long time to figure out how to install the tools in my blog and it was their employee that helped me.

My monthly earning is more than the pay that I have as a teacher back home. I was truly amazed by my luck and by January, I decided to join Social Spark. I was already contented with what I got in PPP but, with Social Spark, it's beyond comparison. I am so satisfied with my earnings because I am a housewife and I stay home a lot.

I have some disappointments too. There are misunderstanding that even if I tried to explain and submit a ticket, the issue gets worst and I end up having a two month suspension in PPP. In my mind, this is a business and they prefer to listen to the advertisers demand than the bloggers reasoning. I thought, this is the real World. It was only CARRIE who stood by me.

Then, I encountered another problem. Two weeks after my suspension was lifted, I can't open my opportunity tab. I just sent a ticket again addressing to Carrie and she tried to fix my problem. Then, Priscilla check the coding in my blog and this is her reply:

"I think I fixed your V3 PPP account. It took me about an hour of staring at a lot of bizarre code to realize you had an extra space at the end of one of your blogs URLs. I removed the space, and it seems to work!"

I was so glad that today, after almost three months in absence of my PPP, I am back and I hope this is for good. I replied :

"OMG! Thank you so much Priscilla. You and Carri are my hero! You are the best! Thank you , thank you, thank you. I am loving IZEA so much. My life at home would be boring without PPP, SS and PPPv.4. Your company brought so much joy in my life. Thank you so much for fixing my problem. Honestly, I can't thank you enough. More power to your company and God bless."

That is my casual reply to Priscilla because I am so happy that everything work just fine again. But, here is what she replied back:

"Wow, you just made my day! Sometimes it's easy to forget there's nice people out there. This job can seem really heartless and thankless at times. I will have a smile all day now! I'll have to share it with Carri too :)"

Now, the last reply made me realized that a simple THANK YOU can really lighten somebody's mood for the day.

Who Likes Spam Emails Anyway

Everyday, after my morning routines, I turn on my PC and blog. I usually check if I have comments to publish and so many spam emails to delete too. It's really annoying to see the following subjects:
  • Get what you paid for with CanadianPharmacy
  • You win a million
  • You are the Beneficiary
  • Urgent Job Offer
  • Get your Fed-Ex Package and so on ....
I know that by clicking these emails would make someone happy too because it can generate money for them. But, this is not right! Yet, we can not do anything about it. This is how the technology works. It is just so annoying.

Finding A New Car

The sisters of my husband just bought their new cars. They show us their Ford Expedition and the other car is a Nissan Altima. My husband is tempted to buy a new car too because our Geo Tracker is really an old jeep but, we have no plans of getting rid of it. Anyway, he is currently searching for a new car and saw the Website buyyourcar.co.uk. This company offer new and used cars, car leasing and you can also sell your car through their Website for FREE. They also provide links to competitive loans and insurance. That is something that anyone would love to search, right? Check out this Website for more information.

I visited her blog yesterday and she made mentioned that her birthday would be after the death anniversary of her dad. I only call her NUTS and her blog is titled EMBRACE LIFE. A blogger who is full of life. Thank you so much for the comments and frequent visits. Stay friendly and charming. I had known her for few months and this picture (though blurry) is my first glimpse of her beauty hehehe. Well, she is a busy mom and I am encouraging you to visit her blog to get to know her better. Follow her blog and I am sure she will do the same too.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NUTS!

Calls at Wee Hours

I was awakened by my husband as he tried to mumbled, "Is that a phone call from your cellphone?". Half awake, I gazed at the clock and it reads 4:30 in the morning. I answered the phone, thinking that it's an urgent call from my classmate or from an advertisement/solicitor. If you experience having spam emails, I got spam calls and that's the same. I have spam calls from advertisements since I signed up for online survey before. Thinking, earning few dollars is okay and as it gets annoying, I deleted my accounts. DO NOT GIVE YOUR IMPORTANT DETAILS ONLINE if it is not secured (HTTPS is fine).

Anyway as I pick up the phone, the man introduced himself and he is calling from a Human Resource Department in one of the Casinos here and that, I have a scheduled interview for a job which I applied a month ago. WEIRD! 4:30 AM for an appointment? Here is the odd part, my interview is at 11:30 PM. Wheww!

I check my online application for that casino and true enough, I had a scheduled interview today. Here is another heads up: DO NOT CHECK "ANYTIME" in the box where it asked you about the best time to call you. I read this many times in some documents that I filed such as Insurance and tax firm company. It's annoying really so, take that question seriously.

Hey, it's SEPTEMBER now. Excited for the Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas Season.
