I thought my kids would NEVER move out of the house. I’m all for them saving money and making sure they’re stable and everything before they go but you know, at the end of the day it was really frustrating that they were in their mid-twenties and they still lived at home and expected me to do their laundry, cook their dinner and all the other mom things I had done for too long. They were adults and I needed to start treating them that way so I told them to find an apartment together! They’re girls so I told them I’d pay for the security system salt lake city service so I’d feel better about them living on their own and to my surprise they took the offer. Now they’re living near school and they’ve got part time jobs – can you imagine why in the world I haven’t done this sooner? I’m thankful to have the house back and I know my kids are glad they’re out on their own at last.
