An Awesome Developer Contest

I got good news today. Do you want to win prizes that are given monthly? Why not join a fun competition? IDUG is sponsoring a contest for developers like you. The contest is open to students, professionals and hobbyists to increase awareness and familiarity with XQuery, XML and DB2. The IDUG contest has the five separate tracks for individuals of varying skill levels which you can enter one track or all five!

The first contest which you may find interesting to join is the Video Contest. You can upload a video and it will be judged by the community with prizes given monthly. Next is the Gadget Contest which you can join by creating a small widget or gadget. Like the first contest, this is also judged by the community in the site and the prizes are given monthly. The third contest that might fancy your interest too is XQuery Challenge. In this contest, you will have to answer a series of questions by developing queries in XQuery. It is in an answer and query structure so, all correct answers entered will win larger prizes. The fourth is Port an Application on which you can Port an existing application to use XML, XQuery or DB2. Winners will be judged by a panel of judges. The last but not the least is Develop an application contest of which you can develop a brand new application using XML or XQuery. The winners will be judged by a panel of judges. You may choose the contest which one you want to enter first and take the Quick Quiz. If you are seeking XML Grand Master status, then you should probably get started right away with the Video Contest, Gadget Contest, and Query Contest. So, what are you waiting for? Check out their website at IDUG. Have fun with the contest and hoping you win big.
