Walgreens and Express Scripts

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

As a customer of Walgreens, I was saddened by the latest dispute between Walgreens and Express Scripts. I do not have any prescription with them but, I have friends who are members of Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens. They are greatly affected and caught in the middle by this dispute. They love the service which is provided by Walgreens Pharmacy because they can access their prescriptions anytime.

My friends were forced to transfer  to another pharmacy which is very inconvenient. It is truly a hassle because they are used to the affordable price of their prescriptions at Walgreens. Here is the Press Release of the dispute: Express Scripts Programs.

I am hoping that big companies such as Express Scripts will re-evaluate their decisions and should focus for the common good especially for the patients. Some of my friends are not happy about this news and when it comes to their prescriptions, they are at  the losing end.

Another thing, I applaud Walgreens for showing support for the troops who have Tricare as their health and prescription drug program.  Walgreens wanted to match the average costs per adjusted prescription from other pharmacies under Tricare Network. But, Express Scripts rejected all the offers presented by Walgreens. The men and women in uniform are affected greatly by this rejection.

How about you? Do you have prescriptions from Walgreens? What is your opinion about this sad news? Please like and  follow Walgreens on Twitter and Walgreens on Facebook, and express your opinion about the insensitivity of Express Scripts. Walgreens wanted to help by offering a great discount on the annual membership for the Prescription Savings Club.  How about you?
