A Beautiful Sad Place

It is ironic that the title of this post uses adjectives like beautiful and sad. This place is truly beautiful. When I took this picture, I told my husband I won't live in this part of Ocean Springs-Mississippi. What if another Hurricane Katrina will come? What if another hurricane bigger than Katrina will hit Mississippi? This place has a traumatic view that is why I say, this place is so sad.The picture above is nearby the beach. There was once stood a big house in this bare space. The water surge toppled it down like a twig. They rebuilt that dock though. Some people have traumatic experience just sell the land property and moved to the higher lands.
That big house there looked new. The owner must have rebuild their house again. I saw a new paint too. Look at the neighbor houses...gone!
See the bricks underneath the tree? That is a concrete wall of the property that once stood in this area. From this road towards that water area, all the houses was gone , slammed by the water surge at 12 foot high.
