Plagiarism Topic: Write Your Own Content

Yesterday, I received another anonymous comment and this time she/he sent me a link to a website of LEOMAR- a Filipino blogger who resides in the Philippines. Someone copy her whole post.

The anonymous blogger sent me the message basically informing me with good intention (I hope) to let me know that one of my blogger friends committed this act. This anonymous blogger knew that I have spoken HIGHLY to this friend specially her posts. That never change the way I look at my friend though.

I was really shocked to know that they exposed my friend (who is your friend too) using the screen shot. She made a BAD DECISION. The ACTION she made, I will NEVER TOLERATE. But, I will remain a FRIEND and will continue as her FRIEND. Her credibility was being questioned by IZEA and by ENTRECARD blogging community. Leomar was kind enough to sent her a comment to edit or erase the post. She did so, that is the good part.

JULIANA is another blogger who complain. I guess, Juliana did not attempt to confront her because she was really furious. I don't blame her. She had all the reasons to be angry about. Leomar and Juliana are friends of the people in my bloglist and I was so sorry that this happened to them. They are victims and I respect the actions they made against my friend.

This is an AWAKENING for all of us. We all commit mistakes but we have to strive to live in harmony with other individuals. It is a CRIME to plagiarized and it is a NO NO to MEDIA industry as well as in blogging community. Write your own content! Strive to become a better blogger. After all, we are here in the blogging community to tell what is the TRUTH, what is REAL and what is FACTUAL! I am passing this TAG to all of you who support this CAUSE! Grab it if you want.

Please copy from here and share:

What is Plagiarism?

According to Dictionary, Plagiarism is the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one’s own original work.

To all Bloggers who exert effort to create noteworthy entries and who continue to maintain a Blog which is a reflection of who she / he is, ” Good job! ”

To those who have the desire to Blog but are merely scraping contents from other people‘ s materials, ” Whether you are monetizing your site to help you with your basic needs or to satisfy some of your wants, do it the proper way. Stop making money out of someone else’s work. Otherwise, you are nothing but a common thief! ”

Thank you!

End Here

Note: Separate Case
  • This made me sad also because Denani, a friend from Indonesia found out that her blogpost was copied also as in EVERYTHING! That is really worst.
  • Joops from Korea , one of his posts was copied and revised a bit.
  • David , a good friend too had the same thing happened twice.

My friend committed a Big Mistake but we are too in another aspect in our lifetime. She is remorseful, she was sorry , she allowed it to happen, she corrected the posts and she admit the mistake she made. She had done wrong in the media ethics and now what? Since she was sorry ... end of the story. I am not defending the action she made but I am defending her because she is MY FRIEND. I am proud to be her friend and will remain her friend. I can vouch who she is and with this big yet, slight mistake, not a reason to topple down the friendship I had with her. I am on the side of the victims BUT, I can't turn my back on my friend.

Now, it is up to Leomar or Juliana if they will forgive her. It is not our concern anymore. If she had done nothing to YOU, spare her some space of air to breathe. Stop the HUSH and stop the BUZZ!

Amy, I found out about this from Tammy, and was shocked about it as well because this person did find me from your blog. Truth was, I didn't know who it was when I posted the tag for it until Tammy contacted me later that night with a link.

As you've seen on my blog, I had this happen to me twice. One of the times, a person tried to make money off something I wrote. The site suspended him for it. The other time was on my Sporting News blog, and that guy was suspended, too.

I admit it is hard to trust anyone when this kind of act is pulled, but I do agree that people make mistakes. I believe in forgiveness as well, but only if the person is remorseful of their actions. I hope that this is the case.

As I discussed with another member, I also don't tell anyone who they should and shouldn't be friends with regardless of what they've done or who they are.

Basically, I will never hold any grudges towards you for your choice of friends. I value you as a blogger friend, and I know how much you speak highly of your blogger friends, myself included.

You're very good woman and blogger friend, Amy. Thanks for being a true friend and for supporting this cause.

Best wishes and God Bless you always!
