Choosing Glee by JENNA USHKOWITZ

Do you like to watch GLEE? I followed it every series and watched their music videos in YouTube as well. The Glee is fun to watch. It reminded me of my Glee Club years too. Music, friendship, food, laughter's, relationship, hang-out, and drama combined into one. Anyway, do you like to read books?
 photo jenna-ushkowitz-choosing-glee_zpsc12cc95d.jpg
Jenna Noelle Ushkowitz was born in South Korea, an American stage and television actress, singer and writer, who is known for her role as Tina Cohen-Chang on Glee. At 3 months old, she was adopted and raised in East Meadow, New York. Look what she accomplished! I saw her promoting her book at Fox news today.
 photo CastofGlee_zps8f76229f.jpg
Choosing Glee is a practical guide on how to be true to yourself and how to gain self-esteem. The book is a guide to find your inner confidence. Jenna shares her life experiences from rejection to success.  She shares her insight on what lessons she learned from those experiences.

If you are a big fan of Jenna, you will learn more about her life before and after Glee. Of course, included in the book is her story of being adopted from South Korea. You will also learn what appearances and commercials she did. You will learn about her moments in Sesame Street; her first Broadway role in The King and I and most especially, having the part of Tina on Glee.

The book also speaks about her long-time friendships with Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) and Kevin McHale (Artie). Choosing Glee speaks about Jenna's life and "the choices she has made that have shaped her positive outlook".

Check this book in the bookstore today. A great book not only for teens but, for adults too.

Dancing With the Stars

Have you seen the amazing stunt of Kirstie Alley during the Finale of Dancing With the Stars? The conservative yet sexy entrance then all of a sudden, a revelation of her figure during the fast-paced dance and the lift part! Amazing! She lost weight during her stay as one of the contestants of DWTS Season 12. What a stunning transformation dropping a whooping 60lbs and counting!
The Final three vying for DWTS Ultimate Winner for Season 12: Chelsea, Hines and Kirstie, they are just amazing dancers. The big WIN goes to Hines Ward, the NFL receiver of Pittsburgh who paired with Kym, such a perfect combination of talent!
It just dawned on me that watching DWTS is truly interesting. You got to see the complicated steps and learn the characters of the stars because they showed the rehearsal video capturing how they react to every situation. You will see who got bad temper, who is patient and all. A good show to watch for the next season.

Watching the Deadliest Catch

I was watching the Deadliest Catch using my Netflix the whole afternoon today. I was doing laundry (bedsheets) at the same time because we had three relatives who stayed over with us for two nights. Sometimes hubby and I loves to stay home and do household chores and this day is one of those.Anyway, I probably watched a dozen episodes from 2009-2010, making it my own marathon. Catching Alaskan king crabs in this tricky sea must be one of the hardest job in the world. I got chills when they show crosses on the hill of the fishing port, a reminder that some men never came back alive. A sad sight!

American Idol: The Final Two

When I started watching the 2011 American Idol season, specifically during the selection of top 12, I am not a big fan of the finalists. For me, the original judges Simon, Randy and Paula had that complete package that sees beyond talent. I like it when Simon scrutinized the contestants and it sure does helped them prepare for what's ahead of them. Fame and Stardom has high price at stake for them to stay longer in the Limelight of Hollywood. The top three finalists: Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery, and Haley Reinhart proves to be the cream of the crop for American Idol 2011! They are not the best bet of Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson because it was pretty obvious that they adored Casey Abrams but, the crowd had their voice. I must admit that the voting viewers was able to pull the best top two finalists ever! The finalists visit to their hometown made me emotional and teary-eyed. Scotty couldn't believe the warm welcome of the people in his hometown. While in his limousine, he sobbed in great awe and amazement well, that's how I see it :-) A happy tears finally saying, this is the moment of stardom eh? "o" Lauren shared the same emotion with Scotty. The moment when she visited the tornado stricken place in her hometown was a heart-breaker. Anyway, Haley's visit shows a blown away of excitement and fun. She's used to the crowd because she comes from a family of musician but, the visit was extremely different! She loves the limelight and that's for sure...then, she was voted out! Left standing were Scotty and Lauren, the final two for American Idol 2011. Who do you think will win?

James Durbin is Out

May 12, 2011- James Durbin has the lowest votes for the week and was voted out! The judges were dismayed of the result as what I saw on their faces and JLO was in tears! I was thinking, this is the right time to give away the only "SAVE CARD" by the judges. It could have been worth saving the talent for the Final Four! With this in mind, everything happened for a reason so, enough crying over a spilled milk right, LOL?

Nobody can predict the outcome of this show! The future of the ultimate idol is in the hands of the voting viewers. I must admit, I stop voting when Thia Megia was voted out but, I watched American Idol every week. Judging from their performance, I thought Haley Reinhart will be out but, I was wrong! Anyway, James Durbin is 22 years old from Santa. Cruz, California. The biggest question now is: Who do you think will win? If you are a big fan of any of the three finalists, the best way to show support is VOTE!

Anyway, how amazing how technology can change people lives such as businesses have 0871 Numbers, AI has voting system thru fon/online. It truly change lives!

Jacon Lusk is Out

Eliminated on May 5, 2011-Jason Lusk is from Compton, California. He was the top 5 finalist during the 10th season of American Idol. He sang Love Hurts, No Air, Oh No Not My Baby, Dance with my father, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Man in the Mirror, Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word, You're All I Need to Get By, Alone, I Believe I Can Fly and A House is not a Home. My favorite song that he sang was Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word because it is one of my favorite songs. I like his attitude when he was voted out, his face just accepted the fact that it's a contest, and someone will be voted out.On July 24, 2011, American Idol's Live is scheduled at Amway Center, Orlando with tickets ranges from $77-$1649. Aww! Anyone who wants to give me FREE tickets?

Ahmed Hassan: Yard Crashers

HGTV and DIY are two of my most favorite channels. The picture below is Ahmed Hassan from Yard Crashers of DIY channel. Whenever I got the chance, I watched his show. He is a licensed landscape contractor and specialized in residential design. His 20 years experience in landscaping and home improvement business made him the most sought-after young landscape designers in the Bay area.

He was one of the celebrities invited to grace a show on the ongoing Flower and Garden Festival in Disney Worlds Epcot Theme Park. This year marked the 18th Annual Celebration and visiting Epcot during this season is fantastic! Ahmed Hassan is the guy who frequent in Lowe's or Home Depot looking for that lucky buyer! He will approached the customer with the camera around asking if they are willing to bring him home and show him what needs to be done in their backyard. Most of the people would say NO to him! They don't recognize him and of course, they don't trust him! A person who needed extra help badly would say YES to his approach. What in store with them is mind-blowing! Ahmed Hassan will totally design, their backyard for FREE! It is like winning a lotto jackpot once you say YES to Ahmed Hassan! If you see him in your area, say a BIG YES! Message in a Bottle

I watched this movie many times and yet, I shed tears everytime. This movie is about how the newspaper researcher Theresa Osborne portrayed by Robin Wright Penn entwined with the life story of Garret Blake portrayed by Kevin Costner. Theresa found a letter in a bottle penned by a grieving shipbuilder Garret Blake. Garret writes to ease the pain of his wife's death. It was extra ordinary that fate has led their path to each other.

When Osborne traced Blake"s hometown, they were attracted to each other for a short time. Blake was a denial to himself beacuse he loved his wife all his life. When Osborne decided to go back home, Blake realized that he love her as much as he loves his wife and ready to mover on. And tragedy struck! Based on Nicholas Sparks's best-selling novel and directed by Luis Mandoki, this romantic drama explores the possibility of love amid heartache. It is not a happy ending that is why I cried! How could a love so true ended too soon and so sadly? I can only sigh and that's life is all about! Not a fairy tale!

Willing Willie on Channel 5

Last October, I decided to subscribe a TFC Channel and I can only get ABS-CBN. I noticed that most of the shows were alien for me in fact, I did not recognized the new faces of ABS-CBN talents. I am a fan of Sharon Cuneta therefore, I kept my subscription. I also noticed that Wowowee show hosted by Willie Revillame were gone. When I arrived in the Philippines last October, I found out that the host and the show was totally gone for so many reasons.

Anyway, I was so amazed with all the "behind the scenes" drama about the show. The host transferred to Channel 5 and I was impressed as to the improvement of Channel 5. Willing Willie followers were the ones who support the host back in Wowowee. Amazing that the fans of the show are super Loyal! Before, this channel has good choice of shows but, the signal captured towards the household was really bad. Today, Channel 5 compete with the giant network like GMA and ABS-CBN. In fact, Channel 5 ratings soar up high! Congratulations Channel5.

John Gidding of HGTV

I can"t remember how I stumbled his name in TWITTER (last year) but since then, I read his twitter updates. The gorgeous man in the picture below is John Gidding, the host of HGTV Curb Appeal: The Block. He is a 33 year old American/Turkish architect. He is a fashion model and an actor. He is a graduate of BA in architecture from Yale University and studied in Harvard Graduate School of Design with Masters in architecture. Now, I am so envious of his educational background, LOL! At least we have one thing in common. Both of us belong to a Glee Club, Yayyy!

Have you seen HGTV's "Designed to Sell"? Well, you are in! He sang acappella with The Yale Society of Orpheus and Bacchus, and also with the Yale Glee Club. While in Harvard, he sang with the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum. How I wish to hear him sing though. As a model, he performed in runway shows for Armani, Gucci, and Hugo Boss. He was also became the spokesmodel for Jhane Barnes in 2004 and 2005. If you love romance novels, John Gidding's face is on the covers too. Watch his show in HGTV and you will surely adore his designs.

An HGTV Fan

Since I was in the Philippines, I watched HGTV channel because I was fascinated with home designing, flipping houses, room makeover and every show in it. When I came to the US and lived in Orlando, I was a plain housewife and my only entertainment was watching TV. From sunrise to sundown, the TV is glued on HGTV. My husband doesn't like it because for him, it was boring. When I started blogging two years ago, one of the hosts of HGTV became a follower of my blog. Well, he is a blogger too and he came to my blog because of another blogger who is an artist and home decorator. Amazing right? Of course, they do not visit my blog too often because I talk about anything and they can't relate if I talk about my culture. They only visit if I talk about home design and post pictures about lovely interior of homes.

Why I reminisce all these? Now that my husband took an early retirement and I am presently working, it took me by surprised that he is now a fan of HGTV! A miracle happened,LOL! Since we moved here in Mississippi temporarily to be with my father in law, all we dreamed is to buy a new property. It fascinates him to see the show about flipping houses. He said he had a good information about how to find a good property. I know a little bit about that already, LOL. I own a property before we got married and finding a good location is a must.

Right now, if I had the time, I watch the show with him. It was really FUN! Try it yourselves! Watch the show and I bet, you will love it too.

Bottle Shock is Highly Recommended

I watched this movie just this week. A true story film in 2008 about winery in California. Watch this movie and you will love it.This is a true story when France's position as the world's top wine producer went unchallenged until 1976, when the Montelena Winery put California wines on the map. This is a story delightfully told in this full-bodied tale about the heady early days of Napa Valley's success. Bill Pullman, Chris Pine and Freddy Rodriguez star as the dreamers and drinkers, who dared to challenge the establishment, with Alan Rickman hitting just the right note as a toffee-nosed sommelier. A movie with humor and tackles about friendship, family and high hopes. Highly recommended movie and I give it a 4.5 stars.

Cast:
Chris Pine, Alan Rickman, Eliza Dushku, Rachael Taylor, Danny DeVito, Freddy Rodriguez, Bill Pullman, Bradley Whitford, Dennis Farina, Miguel Sandoval, Mark Famiglietti
Director:
Randall Miller

Roger Daltrey at Hard Rock in Biloxi

Roger Daltrey of the WHO had a concert last Saturday, October 24,2009 at Hard Rock in Biloxi. The ticket was worth $89 but, it was given for FREE for my Father-in-law. I watched the concert with my pretty niece and we had a good time listening to his music. The show lasted for less than two hours and we also enjoyed watching the drunk ladies who are "into" the show. Honestly, I am only familiarized with five songs and that includes the C.S.I. theme songs. I took this picture using my cellphone. We are actually near the stage but, we choose to stay in our area. If it would be our favorite singer, we could have been screaming to death.
Without Your Love is a popular song in the 80's. This is one of the songs that I am familiar with. I am sure, you are familiar with this song too. Actually, this is one of my favorite old songs and I was glad to watch the singer of this song LIVE on stage.

This is the CSI theme song which Roger Daltrey sang. I would never know that it was him who sang this opening CSI song until I research about this artist. He was so popular that is why his ticket was so expensive.
Here is another opening song from CSI Las Vegas and it was sang by Roger Daltrey.

Somethings There

When I was teaching in Liceo de Cagayan, Grade school Department, Belle is the character of my student for custome contest. She won therefore our class won! This is the song that was played as the background music. This is one of my favorite songs, even at present.

Belle:
There's something sweet
And almost kind
But he was mean and he was coarse and unrefined
But now he's dear, and so unsure
I wonder why I didn't see it there before

Beast:
She glanced this way
I thought I saw
And when we touched she didn't shudder at my paw
No it can't be, I'll just ignore
But then she's never looked at me that way before

Belle:
New and a bit alarming
Who'd have ever thought that this could be?
True that he's no Prince Charming
But there's something in him that I simply didn't see

Lumiere:
Well, who'd have thought?

Mrs Potts:
Well, bless my soul

Cogsworth:
Well, who'd have known?

Mrs Potts:
Well, who indeed?

Lumiere:
And who'd have guessed they'd come together on their own?

Mrs Potts:
It's so peculiar. Wait and see

Lumiere and Cogsworth:
We'll wait and see
All three:

A few days more
There may be something there that wasn't there before

Cogsworth:
Perhaps there's something there
That wasn't there before

Chip:
What?

Mrs Potts:
There may be something there that wasn't there before

Chip: What's there, Mama?

Mrs Potts: Ssh. I'll tell you when you're older.

What Happen To The Cast Of Dawson's Creek?

Glee

Every Tuesday night, I make it a habit to watch American Idol. Now that it is over, I am addicted to the new series titled Glee. I remember my college days. With all the demands per subject, all those tiring effort to get an A+, the stress that we endure just to pass the projects and so on. But we always look forward to attend the practice every night.
I remember the late Professor Lino Y. Abrio devoted his time, money and talent just to be with us. He is a big influence of the singing career of The Apo Hiking Society. This is the video that warms my heart these days.
